DescriptionThe whole story▼
Higher-spec, fully adjustable suspension sets the Hypermotard 950 SP apart, a version made for riders who push harder on the road and at the track. Better suspension rewards better technique, and at the front brake that means a squeeze which builds rather than a grab. Accossato's EDF099, a lever machined from aluminium, fits in place of the original brake lever of the 2019 to 2025 Hypermotard 950 SP. Its distance to the grip is adjustable, so the start of every stop can be controlled finely.

- Black hub with a coloured blade
- Fixed, one-piece construction
- No German ABE documented, intended for circuit use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's work on brakes is rooted in racing: its experience with brake discs comes from Superbike, Moto2 and Moto3. The EDF099 is a simpler component, but it follows the same logic of doing a few things precisely. It is machined from a solid aluminium blank on CNC machines, anodised black at the hub and in your chosen colour along the blade, and built without any folding joint, so the only movement between your fingertips and the master cylinder is the lever itself turning on its pivot.
Squeeze, Then Squeeze Harder
Grabbing the front brake compresses the fork abruptly, throws the load onto the front tyre all at once and unsettles the chassis just when you need it calm. A progressive stop begins with a light touch that takes up the free travel and settles the bike on its suspension, then builds pressure as the tyre is loaded. On the Hypermotard 950 SP, whose suspension responds well to that kind of input, the first moment of the squeeze matters most, and it depends on where the lever rests.
Set the reach so the blade touches the fingers before they have to travel far, and the initial pressure becomes easy to meter. Riders who brake with two fingers tend to prefer the short blade here, available in five of the seven colours; black and red come in the standard length only. On a circuit, where the stops are harder and follow each other more quickly, the same principle holds: the calmer the start of each stop, the more composed the SP stays through the braking zone.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the Hypermotard 950 SP, Accossato lists the EDF099 from 2019 to 2025, and this product covers the front brake only. The standard Hypermotard 950 is sold here as a separate product.
Road Approval
The lever carries no documented German ABE. Its sale is intended for track riding.
