How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Darflo runs flowing lines back from the visor aperture in pink over matt black — softer than the Splitter's hard diagonal, and considerably less common than another red-and-black helmet.
A four-star shell in six sizes
The shell is HPFC — LS2's high-performance fibreglass composite. It is the material that earned this helmet four SHARP stars, and it keeps the whole thing at 1500 grams without asking carbon money for it.
Six separate shells span XXS to XXXXL. That is rare at this price — the cheap route is one shell padded out with thicker cheek pads, which adds weight where you least want it.
About the Darflo Matt Black/Pink finish
Pink on matt black is a strong combination precisely because the base is so neutral: the colour has nothing to compete with. The flowing Darflo shapes follow the shell's curves rather than cutting across them, which makes the helmet look longer and lower than it is. Matt keeps the whole thing from becoming loud.
Airflow that reaches your head
Chin and top intakes, ducted EPS, rear exhaust. Routing the channels through the liner foam rather than just under the shell is what makes the airflow reach your head instead of stalling.
Two visors in the box, a third inside the shell
A wide hardcoated visor with UV protection and a tool-free change system. LS2 includes both the Pinlock 120 MaxVision anti-fog insert and a complete tinted visor, so summer needs no extra purchase.
A drop-down sun visor is built in — one slide brings it down, another stows it completely inside the shell. Worth noting that Certimoov listed the sun visor mechanism as one of the points LS2 could improve.
Holding on, and letting go
Retention is a micrometric metal buckle — set the length once, click thereafter. Multi-density EPS handles different impact energies, and SHARP's independent testing returned four stars.
The bit you actually touch
A washable, removable, hypoallergenic liner and pre-moulded intercom pockets for LS2's Bluetooth system. The close fit is deliberate — it is part of why the helmet performs the way it does.
