How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Built for riders who refuse to compromise between race-bred performance and road-going refinement, the Airoh GP 800 Competition in Blue Glossy is a full-face helmet engineered at the sharp end of motorsport. Its HPC Carbon shell — available in three sizes to optimise the fit-to-weight ratio across the full size run — delivers the kind of rigidity-to-mass balance that separates a genuine track tool from a cosmetic lookalike.
Key Features
- Three-shell HPC Carbon construction keeps mass exceptionally low while maximising structural integrity at racing speeds
- Pinlock 120 XLT Max Vision anti-fog lens included — among the widest, clearest inserts available, eliminating visor mist in changing conditions
- ATVR (Airoh Tool-less Visor Removal) system lets you swap visors in seconds without tools, essential during race-day preparation
- Dark Smoke visor included alongside the standard clear shield — ready for bright-sun track sessions straight out of the box
- A3S (Airoh Automatic Anti-Fog System) and scratch- and UV-resistant 2D racing visor with tear-off posts for circuit use
- Coolmax Superior Performance liner with 2DRY, MICROSENSE and SANITIZED treatments — fully removable, washable and hypoallergenic
- Camelback hydration system compatible — a genuine advantage on long track days and endurance stints
Race-Focused Shell and Visor System
The GP 800's aggressive, aerodynamic silhouette is no styling exercise — every line is shaped to reduce lift and turbulence at speed. The 2D racing visor offers an extra-wide field of vision, a Lock System Racing retention mechanism and full tear-off readiness, so you can run strips in wet or dusty conditions without modification. The ATVR quick-release system means visor changes between sessions take seconds rather than minutes, keeping your focus on the riding.
Ventilation and Thermal Management
An intelligently routed ventilation system draws cool air across the crown and evacuates warm air efficiently at the rear, maintaining a comfortable head temperature even during sustained high-intensity riding. The channel design works in concert with the breathable liner fabrics to prevent heat build-up during track sessions where sustained concentration is non-negotiable.
Interior Comfort and Safety Systems
The removable and washable interior combines Coolmax Superior Performance technical textiles with 2DRY moisture management, MICROSENSE pressure-point reduction and SANITIZED antibacterial treatment. The ASN (Airoh Sliding Net) eases helmet removal, the AMLS (Airoh Magnetic Lining System) ensures precise liner re-seating, and the AEFR (Airoh Emergency Fast Release) system allows medical professionals to remove the helmet safely in an emergency — a feature that matters most when you hope never to need it. Retention is handled by a DD-ring (double D-ring) chin strap, the gold standard for security in competition use.

To find your correct size, wrap a flexible tape measure approximately 1 cm above the ears at the widest point of your head.
