DescriptionThe whole story▼
Born on the MotoGP grid and refined in the wind tunnel, the NHK GP-R Tech Race Helmet in the exclusive Alonso López Motegi Japan Replica 2024 livery brings professional racing technology directly to your visor. This is not a styling exercise — it is a FIM-homologated competition helmet engineered for the demands of high-speed track use, finished in the striking red, pink and white colour scheme that turned heads at the Motegi circuit.
Key Features
- FIM-approved construction meeting the highest international motorsport safety standards — race-legal straight out of the box.
- AFRC shell (Advanced Fiberglass Reinforced Composite) manufactured in five shell sizes, delivering exceptional rigidity with a genuinely low weight.
- 9 inner shell sizes spanning 12 helmet sizes (XXXS through XXL) for a precision fit rather than a compromise.
- 4D-Air ventilation system engineered for real airflow management during hard track sessions in hot conditions.
- Flat visor with Wide Angle View geometry gives a broader field of vision where split-second awareness matters most.
- 100% mechanical, tool-free visor mechanism for rapid lens swaps between sessions.
- Premium removable and washable inner liner with Camel-Bag hydration preparation and glasses-friendly channel design.
Track-Bred Construction
The GP-R Tech's AFRC composite shell is not a single-size compromise: five distinct shell sizes are produced so that a XXXS and an XXL rider wear a shell proportioned specifically for their head circumference. This approach maximises structural efficiency — material goes where it is needed, not where it is convenient for manufacturing. The double-D-ring retention system and emergency cheek-pad removal complete a safety package that satisfies FIM regulations for professional competition.
Aerodynamics and Ventilation
Every external surface of the GP-R Tech was validated in wind-tunnel testing and subsequently proven across MotoGP race weekends. The result is reduced drag at the speeds that matter and a shell that does not fight the rider at motorway pace or on long straights. The 4D-Air system works in concert with that aerodynamic profile: intake channels and exhaust ports are positioned to draw air across the rider's head efficiently rather than simply punching holes in the shell for the sake of visual impression.
Alonso López Motegi Replica Livery
The Alonso López Motegi Japan Replica 2024 paint scheme is reproduced in a high-gloss finish, replicating the exact colour combination — red, pink and white — worn at one of MotoGP's most celebrated circuits. Each helmet carries part number NHKGPAL#9. For riders who want their helmet to communicate as clearly on track as it does in the paddock, this replica livery is an unambiguous statement.
Fitment and Compatibility
The NHK GP-R Tech is a universal full-face race helmet suitable for track days, circuit racing and road riding wherever a FIM-homologated helmet is required or preferred. It is available in twelve sizes from XXXS to XXL, covering head circumferences from 50 cm to 62 cm.

“Five shell sizes is more than Shoei or Arai offer here, and the FIM homologation is real. NHK is the unfamiliar name on this list, and the ventilation is the weakest part — everything else holds up against helmets costing more.”
