Sprint Filter P08 Air Filter for Road & Track – Ducati Scrambler 800 (2024–2026) PM207S

Ducati part numbers usually separate themselves by displacement. Scrambler 400, Scrambler 800, Scrambler 1100 — three sizes, three intakes, no confusion at the counter. The 2024 Scrambler breaks that habit. It kept the name and it kept the 800 badge, and underneath it takes a different air filter from the Scrambler 800 that preceded it. PM207S is the element for the newer machine, and the only thing that separates it from the older code is the year on the registration document.

When the name is not the ordering criterion

Two motorcycles can share a badge and share a capacity class and still need different parts, because what a filter is drawn around is the box, not the engine. Anyone ordering by model name alone has a fair chance of receiving the element for the earlier bike, which fits a housing this one no longer has. The year is the safeguard: this code belongs to Scramblers built from 2024 onward. On a machine that will still be on the road in fifteen years, that distinction is worth writing down somewhere the next owner will find it.

What fitting it actually changes

Not the power. Intake, injection and exhaust were signed off together, and an element placed in an unmodified airbox leaves a standard Scrambler 800 exactly as quick as the day it was delivered. Nobody should buy this expecting to feel it through the throttle. What it alters is one line in the service schedule: instead of a paper panel whose restriction rises steadily until it is binned, there is a washable panel that is taken back to its original condition with an air line whenever its owner decides to.

Care and cleaning

Blow the PM207S through from the clean face with compressed air, working outward so that whatever it caught leaves by the route it entered. A stubborn film comes away in warm water with a mild detergent, flushed until the water runs off without colour. It then dries in circulating air at room temperature and in no other way: heat guns, radiators and open flames wreck polyester without leaving anything visible behind.
