DescriptionThe whole story▼
This is not a tail panel. It is a complete monocoque rear section with the supporting arms moulded in, replacing the seat unit and the structure beneath it in one piece. It is the most substantial single component Fullsix makes for this motorcycle.
Key Features
- One-piece monocoque tail with integrated support arms
- 200 Plain weave, autoclave-cured throughout
- Replaces the seat unit and its supporting structure
- Manufacturer classification: racing
- Fits the 1299 and the 959 Panigale
A Structural Part, Sold for the Track
The number begins with 99R5 and Fullsix lists it as racing, which is the important part of this description. A monocoque tail carries the rider's weight through its own structure, and it is designed for a bike in race trim with the standard subframe removed.
That rules out a straightforward road conversion. Removing a registered motorcycle's subframe and replacing it with a component the manufacturer sells for competition is a change to the vehicle's load-bearing structure, and no market treats that as a bolt-on accessory.
What You Should Establish First
Before ordering, confirm what the bike is for. On a dedicated track machine this is a clear upgrade and a well-known one. On a road-registered 1299 it needs a conversation with your inspection authority first, and probably an engineer's assessment, and Fullsix supplies no documentation to support either.
Fitment and Compatibility
Ducati 1299 Panigale, model years 2015 to 2017, in race trim with the standard subframe removed. Seat, pad and fasteners are not included unless stated by the manufacturer.
Road Approval
Fullsix publishes neither an ABE nor an EC type-approval number for this part, and sells it as a racing component. It is not a road part and this listing does not present it as one.
Fitting
This is workshop work, not a garage job. It touches the structure the rider sits on, and it belongs with someone who has done it before and who will check the mounting faces and the fastener torques rather than assume them.
