DescriptionThe whole story▼

Turn a BMW F 750 GS on loose gravel the way you would on tarmac, leaning bike and body together, and the front tyre soon lets you know it has had enough. Off-road riders turn differently. They stay more upright, allow the motorcycle to lean beneath them and steer with their feet, which makes the footpegs part of the steering. Accossato's enlarged footpegs for the F 750 GS of 2018 to 2022 are made of Ergal, a high-strength aluminium alloy, and are supplied as a pair in green or black.

Key Features

  • Oversized Accossato footpegs for the BMW F 750 GS, listed for 2018 to 2022
  • Ergal construction: a high-strength aluminium alloy
  • More room under the boot for riding while standing
  • Intended for motocross, enduro and off-road riding
  • Green or black, chosen as the variant
  • One peg for the left side, one for the right
  • Same set listed for the F 700 GS, F 800 GS and F 850 GS
  • No ABE documented; for competition

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato, which counts an enduro world title from 1985 in its history, designs these pegs for motocross, enduro and off-road motorcycles, and its description stops there: larger footpegs, made of Ergal. Ergal is a high-strength aluminium alloy. The purpose of a larger peg is that the boot has more to stand on, and that is most noticeable when the rider is up on the pegs and pushing down on one side at a time. Green and black are the colours on offer for the F 750 GS, and both pegs of the pair come in the colour you choose.

Steering With the Outside Peg

Off-road trainers teach this early, and it works on a middleweight twin as well as on an enduro bike. Approaching a bend on loose ground, stand, look through the turn and let the bike lean while the upper body stays roughly upright. Then press down firmly on the outside peg, the one furthest from the inside of the bend. That loads the tyres and gives them more to bite on, and the F 750 GS follows the line with very little input at the handlebar. The inside foot stays on its peg, relaxed, ready to take the weight again as the bike straightens.

What makes the difference is where the pressure goes. A rider pushing through the ball of the foot on a narrow peg feels its edges under the sole. On a broader surface the same push is spread across more of the boot, and it is easier to hold for the whole length of a long, loose bend. The rest comes with repetition: wide circles on a patch of loose ground, ridden standing, slowly at first and then a little faster, and always in both directions.

Fitment and Compatibility

The F 750 GS appears in Accossato's application list from 2018 to 2022, and the product is linked to those years in our garage. It is the only Accossato footpeg set for this model; the identical pair is also listed for the F 700 GS, the F 800 GS and the F 850 GS. Before the first ride, move each peg through its full travel and check that it springs back cleanly, then sit on the bike in your boots and check where the gear lever meets your left foot.

Road Approval

No German ABE or comparable approval document is available to us for this set. It is sold for competition use.
