DescriptionThe whole story▼
Of the two Scrambler 1200 versions, the XE has the longer suspension travel and the clearer focus on riding away from tarmac. Slow, technical ground is where that pays off: a rocky climb, a rutted descent, a tight turn between trees. There the throttle does less than the clutch, which meters the drive to the rear tyre in small doses. For the 2019 Scrambler 1200 XE, Accossato lists the EST333P, a clutch lever machined from aluminium with an adjustable reach, so that control sits in the right place for your fingers.
Key Features
- Clutch lever for the Triumph Scrambler 1200 XE, model year 2019
- Replaces the stock lever at the original clutch mounting
- Reach adjustable for feathering the clutch with one or two fingers
- Short blade in blue, gold, green, orange and silver
- Standard length approximately 138 mm, long in four colours
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised; black hub
- Fixed one-piece blade
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato was founded in 1969 in Moncalieri, near Turin, as a manufacturer of competition motorcycles. The EST333P is CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised, with the hub always in black and the blade in black, silver, gold, blue, green, orange or red. As a rigid lever it has no folding joint. On technical ground this means the friction point stays where you set it, rather than shifting slightly with a joint that has taken a few knocks.
Feathering the Clutch Off Road
Feathering means holding the clutch partly engaged to keep the rear wheel turning at a speed the engine alone would not allow: slower than first gear at tickover, or with a brief surge of drive to lift the bike over a rock. Trail riders usually do it with one or two fingers, keeping the others on the grip for control over bumps. That works only if the lever is set so the friction point falls within the travel those fingers can cover comfortably, and the EST333P's adjuster lets you place it there. A short blade supports the technique because it ends before the other fingers and cannot trap them against the grip. After a day on the trails, check that the lever still returns fully when released, since a clutch that does not engage completely will slip and heat up. On the Scrambler 1200 XE, that quick check belongs to the routine after every off-road ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EST333P for the Scrambler 1200 XE for the 2019 model year only; later XE bikes are not on the list. It replaces the original lever at the stock clutch mounting. Accossato's list shows no brake lever for the XE, so the clutch lever is sold on its own. The same EST333P is listed for the Scrambler 1200 XC of 2019 and 2020 and for other Triumph models of the period.
Road Approval
The EST333P has no documented German ABE, which is why it is supplied for track use.
