DescriptionThe whole story▼
Track days on a supersport bike come with a simple truth: sooner or later someone low-sides, and a ZX-6R that slides across the gravel often lands on a lever. If the rider is fine, the question in the paddock is whether the bike can go back out, and the clutch side is one of the first things to check. The Accossato ESK828 is a clutch lever for the Kawasaki ZX-6R, listed for 2000 to 2026. It is CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised, fits the original clutch mounting and has an adjustable span.

- Blade colours black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver and green; hub black
- Standard length about 138 mm; short and long in selected colours
- CNC-machined aluminium, rigid one-piece blade

Construction and Material Quality
Colour on a lever has to last, because hands and gloves touch it constantly. On the ESK828 it comes from anodising: after CNC machining, the aluminium surface is converted into a hard oxide that absorbs the dye and is then sealed, so the colour lies within the surface and does not flake like paint. The hub, carrying the pivot and span adjuster, is black in all versions. The blade is a rigid part with no folding joint, which also means that a hard knock can bend or break it, as it would any fixed lever.
Back Out After a Tumble
Before the ZX-6R goes back on track, work through the clutch side calmly. Look at the lever along its whole length for bends and cracks; an aluminium lever that has been bent should be replaced, not straightened, because metal that has been bent back can crack later. Check that the clutch mounting has not rotated on the bar and that the bar itself is straight. Pull the lever several times: it should move freely and return fully, and with the lever pulled in and first gear selected, the bike should still roll easily. Finally, set the span again in your riding position, since a knock can move things by more than you notice at a glance. Many track riders carry a spare lever in their toolbox for exactly this moment, and after one tumble, most of them wish they had packed two.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's entries for the ESK828 cover the ZX-6R from 2000 to 2026: 600 versions between 2000 and 2012 and the 636 models, including the Special Edition of 2015 and 2016. Since the ZX-6R has gone through several generations in that time, compare your original clutch lever with the product photos before ordering. The EDF088 brake lever is listed for ZX-6R models from 1998 to 2026.
Road Approval
Accossato has no German ABE documented for the ESK828, so it is sold for track use.
