DescriptionThe whole story▼
The V7 III Milano carries the Italian name of Milan, and a city of that kind is where it feels at home: short rides between home, office and café, over streets whose surface changes every few metres. Smooth asphalt gives way to cobbles, tram rails and painted crossings, and each offers a different amount of grip. The Accossato EDF016 is a brake lever for the V7 III Milano 750 of 2018 to 2020; it is cut from solid aluminium, works with the original master cylinder and lets you set how far the blade stands from the grip.

Construction and Material Quality
This lever is milled from a solid block of aluminium on CNC machines, then anodised. Its hub, which houses the pivot and the reach adjuster, is always black; its blade can be ordered in black, blue, red, orange, gold, silver or green. The EDF016 is fixed, with no joint between hub and blade, so light pressures, the kind used for gentle braking over a poor surface, are transmitted as precisely as heavy ones.
Cobbles, Rails and Painted Lines
In a city, the grip under the front tyre can change several times during a single stop. Wet cobbles, steel tram rails and thick road paint all offer less grip than asphalt, and in the rain the gap widens. The practised city rider brakes before reaching such a patch, then rolls across it with the brake eased and the bike upright, rather than braking hard on it. That calls for a front brake that can be applied softly and released just as softly. On the V7 III Milano, set the EDF016 so a light squeeze is easy to measure: the blade should meet your fingers at the first joint with the wrist straight, where small changes of pressure are easiest to control. The standard length, closest to the original lever and offered in all seven colours, suits this kind of riding well. Tram rails deserve a special note: cross them at as wide an angle as possible, and never brake hard while the tyre is on the steel.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the V7 III Milano 750, Accossato gives the years 2018 to 2020 under the version name V7 750 Milano. The EDF016 replaces the stock blade on the Milano's own front master cylinder. The ESD037 clutch lever is listed for the same bike and years. Short blades are available in blue, gold, green, orange and silver, long ones in blue, gold, green and orange.
Road Approval
We sell the EDF016 for track use, as no German ABE has been documented for it.
