DescriptionThe whole story▼
Red, black and white is the colour code of motocross, and the Crosscore 236 wears it with confidence. This is Sidi's new off-road boot for riders of every level, combining a microfiber shell, heat-shielded shin and calf protection and a four-buckle closure in a package that the maker says is comfortable from the very first ride.
It suits the rider who spends Saturdays at the local track, takes the bike into the woods on Sunday and wants one boot that handles both without fuss.
Key Features
- Four polymer buckles, adjustable and replaceable, in Sidi's Asymmetric Flexion System
- Durable microfiber upper for structure and an anatomical shape
- Thermoformed tongue plus a rear hinge for freedom of movement
- High-density TPU protects shin, calf, ankle and foot
- Calf guard and shin plate with an insert that resists heat and slipping
- Grippy rubber sole for varied terrain
- Certified CE to EN 13634:2017; EU 37–50
Buckles and Adjustment
The closure is the heart of the boot's everyday appeal. Sidi groups its four polymer buckles under the name Asymmetric Flexion System and promises a secure, personal fit that can be adjusted over time. Each strap sets its own tension, which helps when one leg wears a knee brace or the boot loosens slightly as the padding settles. Should a buckle break on a rock or in a crash, it can be replaced instead of retiring the boot.
The Shell
Microfiber makes up about half of the Crosscore, the TPU of its guards roughly a quarter. The rubber outsole contributes some 15 percent, with the last share going to buckles, lining, padding and the heat-resistant inserts. Sidi pairs a thermoformed tongue at the front with a flex hinge at the back: the first gives the boot shape, the second lets it bend when you stand on the pegs or dab a foot in a corner. The boot is produced in Bangladesh.
Who It Is For
Sidi's own description talks about riders of all levels and about everyday riding as well as weekend outings. The Crosscore therefore makes most sense as an approachable, all-purpose off-road boot. Beginners get proper protection without a demanding break-in, and experienced riders get a robust training or backup pair. It is not presented as a top-level race boot.
Impact and Heat Protection
The tibia, calf, ankle and foot are covered by high-density TPU. On top of that, the shin plate and calf guard carry an anti-slip, heat-resistant insert to shield those zones from knocks and from warm engine parts. The certification is CE to EN 13634:2017; Sidi's list mentions no performance levels.
Sizes
From EU 37 to EU 50, unisex, regular fit according to Sidi. The slim inner profile is meant to improve feel for the bike and its controls.
What You Should Know
There is no membrane in the specification, so this boot is not waterproof; the same goes for ventilation, which is not mentioned. No weight is stated, and the sole compound has no published name. Comfort statements such as no break-in period are the manufacturer's. Built for dirt, the Crosscore is not designed as a walking or touring boot.
Colour
The 236 splits the boot into three clear zones. A bright white shin plate, top buckle, heel cup and outsole frame the design; red covers the lower shaft, the toe box and the bottom buckle; black fills the side panels and carries the two middle buckles and the logo on the shin plate. The result looks race-inspired and matches a wide range of red or white kit, including many Japanese and European brand colours. White and red parts will show mud and wear from the footpegs sooner than the black ones, so a quick wipe after each ride keeps the contrast sharp. On track, the white and red make the boot noticeably easier to pick out than an all-dark one.
