Two Kilos on a Single

A Hypermotard 698 Mono is a light motorcycle with a tall centre of gravity, and the standard exhaust hangs under the seat — high, and behind the rider. Taking two kilos out of exactly that place is the change a rider notices first when flicking the bike from side to side.

It is a bigger proportional saving than a litre bike gets from a much more expensive system.

What the Link Pipe Adds

Spark includes the specific link pipe with the pair, which is not a given at this price. On a bike with underseat silencers the run from the header to the cans is a shaped piece rather than a straight tube, and an article sold without it would be incomplete.

The fittings are AISI 304 stainless — the same on all four articles in the range, and the reason the mounting is identical whichever silencer is chosen.

The Konix Evo Shape

The Konix Evo is the more angular of the two silencer designs Spark offers here, with a wedge-shaped case rather than the rounded Force Evo body. Both take the same carbon end cap and the same AISI 304 fittings.

On a supermoto the shorter, blunter shape sits closer to the tail and stays out of the way when the bike is on its side.

Approved, and Two Horsepower

Spark states two horsepower more for its titanium silencers on this motorcycle, from the internal diameters and the outlet sizing, with the Euro5 approval intact and nothing else changed on the bike.

No remap, no catalyst removal, no insert to take out for a technical inspection.
