Ducati's first single-cylinder Supermotard got four different answers from Spark rather than one. This is the middle of them: a pair of Force Evo silencers with titanium cases, sitting under the seat on AISI 304 stainless fittings, with the specific link pipe included.
Key Features
- Euro5 approved pair of slip-on silencers for the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono.
- Force Evo design, titanium case, carbon end cap.
- AISI 304 stainless steel fittings and the specific link pipe included.
- 3,8 kg against 5,2 kg for the standard exhaust.
- Two horsepower more, with no other change to the motorcycle.
- Underseat mounting.
Two Horsepower From Geometry
Spark attributes the gain to the internal diameters and the sizing of the outlets — not to a catalyst coming out, and not to a remap. The figure applies to the Euro5 approved article as supplied.
On a single-cylinder that is a larger proportional gain than the same two horsepower would be on a twin. It is also the reason this article can hold an approval and still show a number.
Four Ways to Buy the Same Idea
Spark builds two silencer shapes for this motorcycle, each in two finishes. Force Evo in titanium is this article at 1.274 euro and 3,8 kg. Force Evo in carbon is GDU1809COM. Konix Evo in titanium is GDU1810TOM, and Konix Evo with a black ceramic case is GDU1810DOM.
They are not a ladder. The cheapest of the four is also the lightest, and the most expensive is the heaviest. What separates them is shape and finish.
Ducati's First Single-Cylinder Supermoto
The 698 Mono is a machine Ducati had not built before, and Spark — a company that has worked on Ducatis since its first catalogue article in the nineties — treated it as a project rather than an adaptation.
Four articles for one motorcycle is a lot for a single-cylinder. It says something about who the bike is aimed at that Spark thought the finish choice was worth doubling the range for.
The Link Pipe Is in the Box
Spark lists this as a double slip-on including the specific link pipe, which matters on a motorcycle where the silencers sit under the seat and the routing to them is not a standard tube.
Nothing else has to be ordered. The stainless fittings, the pipe and both silencers arrive together.
Carbon Cap on a Titanium Case
All four articles in this range share the same carbon end cap; the case underneath is what changes. Here it is titanium, which is the lighter of the two case materials Spark offers and the one that will take on colour at the outlet with use.
Against the black-cased versions it is the option that shows the exhaust rather than hiding it.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono, 2024 to 2026. Carbon-cased Force Evo: GDU1809COM. Konix Evo silencers: GDU1810TOM in titanium and GDU1810DOM in black ceramic — Spark's own pages list that last one as GDU1810BOM, the price list as GDU1810DOM; it is the same article.
Road Approval
Euro5 approved. Spark lists this article as approved and it is supplied road legal.
