DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Accossato CNC-worked 16x18 is a flagship radial brake master cylinder built for single-disc front brake systems, using a 16 mm piston and a fixed 18 mm lever pivot that Accossato recommends for both track and street use. Rather than a sliding PRS pivot, this unit relies on the Revolution Lever, adjusted by adding or removing small inserts, and is offered in seven colours to match the motorcycle it is fitted to.

Key Features

  • 16 mm piston diameter, suitable for single-disc braking systems
  • 18 mm lever pivot distance for track use, also recommended for street riding
  • Revolution Lever, adjustable by adding or removing inserts, available in seven colours
  • CNC-machined aluminium body with natural anodising
  • Offset riser that limits master cylinder flex under hard braking
  • Passive lever stroke cut by more than 50 percent compared with a standard radial master cylinder
  • Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
  • Seals manufactured from Formula 1 compound material

Construction and Material Quality

Like the other flagship units in the Accossato range, the 16x18 is CNC machined from aluminium billet in Italy and finished with natural anodising rather than paint. The mounting screws are stainless steel, the bleed valve is zinc-plated steel, and the internal seals are made from Formula 1 compound so they keep sealing reliably through repeated heat cycles and brake fluid exposure. An offset riser in the mounting clamp resists bending of the body under hard braking, and the fluid path is shaped so the passive stroke, the lever travel before the pads actually bite, is reduced by more than half compared with a standard radial master cylinder.

A Single-Disc Pump With a Fixed Street and Track Setting

Accossato specifies the 16 mm piston in this unit for single-disc front brake systems, where less fluid needs to be displaced than on a dual-disc setup, and pairs it with an 18 mm pivot distance that the manufacturer recommends for both track sessions and everyday road riding rather than listing separate figures for each. Fine adjustment of the lever feel is handled by the Revolution Lever's own insert system instead of a sliding pivot, so the rider can still tune the bite point without needing a unit with the PRS three position pivot.

Fitment and Compatibility

Our fitment data confirms 54 motorcycles for this master cylinder across Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki, among them the Honda NT1100 (2022-2023), Kawasaki Versys-X 300 (2017-2023), Suzuki GSR750 (2011-2016), BMW F900XR (2019-2023) and Ducati Scrambler 400 (2016-2021). Each confirmed model, with its exact production years, is set out in the Fitment tab on this page, which is worth checking against your own registration before buying.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato CNC-worked 16x18 radial brake master cylinder fitted with the Revolution Lever in the colour selected, finished in natural anodised aluminium. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The stop light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
