DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Yamaha Tracer 900 GT is a three-cylinder sports tourer that plenty of owners use as their only vehicle, commuting on weekdays and touring when time allows. This listing covers Accossato's AGPA97 front pad for the Tracer 900 GT from 2018 to 2024, supplied in the Organic (OR) compound. It suits riders whose daily reality is traffic lights, cold starts on a winter morning and a lot of low-speed work, and who would rather keep the front discs in good shape for years than chase sharp initial bite.
Key Features
- Accossato AGPA97 front pad, Organic (OR) compound
- Listed for the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT, 2018 to 2024
- Gentle, progressive response for town riding
- Friendly to the discs, according to Accossato
- Quiet in stop-and-go traffic
- Two pads per box, enough for one caliper
- Same pad also offered as ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato sums up its Organic mix in two claims: the pad keeps working consistently over a long service life, and it goes easy on the disc surface. For a Tracer that racks up distance in all seasons, that second point is worth thinking about, because replacing a pair of front discs costs far more than a set of pads. The brand, founded in Moncalieri near Turin in 1969, builds its pads around low wear, limited heat build-up against fade and strong stopping power.
The Commuter's Front Brake
Most brake applications on a commuting Tracer 900 GT are small ones: rolling up to a junction, trimming speed behind a bus, holding the bike on a slope while the lights change. An organic pad feeds in softly at these moments, which makes the lever easy to meter with two fingers and keeps the fork from diving abruptly. On the first stop after a frosty night the compound does not need heat to feel natural, and in a multi-storey car park it stays quiet instead of squealing. Riding instructors often favour this kind of calm, predictable response for exactly these reasons.
When Another Mix Makes More Sense
If your Tracer spends its weekends on alpine passes with luggage and a passenger, the ST version of this pad is the one to look at. Sporty road and circuit riders will find EV1, EV2 and ZXC in the same size.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA97 for the Tracer 900 GT built from 2018 to 2024. The bike has twin front calipers, so a full front change takes two boxes. The matching Accossato rear pad for the same years is AGPP88. Change pads on both front calipers together, clean the pistons before pushing them back, check disc thickness and fluid level, and pump the lever until it is firm before the first ride. Then bed the new set in with a series of moderate stops.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or test certificate for this pad, so it is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two AGPA97 pads in Organic (OR) compound, which equips a single front caliper.
