DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Triumph Trophy 1200 SE is a large, fully faired touring motorcycle, and not every one of them spends its days crossing continents. Some are used for the daily ride to work, for business trips and for relaxed weekend runs. For those owners, Accossato offers the AGPA21 front pad in its Organic (OR) compound, which the maker says gives long-lasting performance and limits disc wear. It is listed for the Trophy 1200 SE from 2013 to 2018.

Key Features

  • Accossato AGPA21 front pad, Organic (OR) compound
  • For the Triumph Trophy 1200 SE, 2013-2018
  • Accossato: durable performance and reduced wear on the discs
  • Suited to commuting and relaxed solo touring
  • Progressive feel for a heavy bike at low speed
  • Two pads in the box for one front caliper
  • Also offered as ST and EV1

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's organic mix is designed for a long working life and for looking after the disc surface. On a heavy tourer with large front discs, keeping those discs in good shape for longer is a real saving. The compound also carries the qualities Accossato claims across its pad range: slow wear, fade reduced by limited heat and firm stopping power.

A Big Tourer Used Every Day

A Trophy 1200 SE used as a daily commuter sees a lot of low-speed braking: queues, roundabouts, car parks. At walking pace, a heavy bike rewards a front brake that bites progressively rather than suddenly, and an organic pad provides that kind of feel. It also tends to be quiet, which fits the refined character of the Trophy. Riders who mostly ride solo and in dry conditions will find it a comfortable match. If your Trophy is loaded for long trips in all weathers, the ST version is designed for that. The EV1 compound is aimed at a sportier pace.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA21 for the front of the Trophy 1200 SE from 2013 to 2018. For the rear, the corresponding pad is AGPA76, and Accossato also lists the DK132 disc for this bike. The Trophy has two front calipers, so two boxes are required for a complete front change. Replace both at once, clean the pistons before pushing them back, check the fluid, pump the lever until firm and bed in with light stops.

Road Approval

No ABE or other German approval documentation is available for AGPA21OR. It is sold for racing purposes.
