A race on a Panigale V4 R is won and lost at the same braking markers on every lap, and the brake may not feel at the flag the way it felt on the grid. The Accossato RA002 is a folding brake lever with a 90-degree remote adjuster, made for exactly that situation. Accossato designed the adjuster so the rider can change the lever setting with the left hand, without letting go of the throttle and without calling at the pit box. It fits the original brake master cylinder of the 2019 V4 R.

Construction and Material Quality
The colour of the RA002 is not a coat of paint. After machining, the aluminium parts are anodised, a process that grows an oxide layer out of the metal itself and takes up the dye, so there is no film that could peel at the edges. Seven colours are offered for the blade; the base, which carries the pivot and joins the blade through a hinge, is always black. The lever is CNC-machined aluminium and comes as a set with its remote adjuster. Accossato offers two holder sizes, 35 mm and 60 mm.
From Lights Out to the Flag
Over a full race distance, a superbike's front brake works hard at every heavy stop, and it is common for riders to want a different lever setting late in the race than the one they chose on the grid. What changes, and how much, depends on the bike, the circuit and the rider. With the RA002, the answer no longer has to wait for the next session. On a straight, with the right hand holding the throttle and the bike stable, the left hand reaches the adjuster, changes the setting a little and returns to the bar before the next braking zone. That is the use Accossato built it for: adjustment while racing, without a stop in the box.
The company knows the braking side of racing from another product as well, since its experience with brake discs comes from Superbike, Moto2 and Moto3. For a V4 R rider, the remote adjuster turns the lever setting from a decision made once in the garage into something that can follow the race.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the RA002 for the Panigale V4 R of 2019, under the reference 998 R. For the same bike it also makes two folding levers without remote adjuster, the LV013 for the brake and the LV015 for the clutch, each listed for 2019. The RA002 replaces the brake lever, so on the V4 R you would combine it with the LV015 on the clutch side rather than with the LV013.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE on record for the RA002. It is a racing part, and we sell it for use on closed circuits.
