DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many NC750X owners ride through the whole year, and when the temperature drops, some of them fit handlebar muffs: padded covers that enclose the grips and levers and keep the wind off the hands. Inside a muff the brake lever is out of sight and the space around it is tight, so its position has to be right before the muff goes on. The EDF018 from Accossato is a CNC-machined aluminium brake lever for the NC750X, listed for 2014 and 2015 and again from 2021 to 2025, with an adjustable reach that helps it work under a muff as well as without one.

- Seven colours on a black hub
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- Fixed one-piece blade
- No German ABE documented; track use
Construction and Material Quality
The EDF018 is machined on CNC equipment from solid aluminium and anodised afterwards. On every version the hub is black; it contains the pivot and the reach adjuster. The blade carries the colour you choose. Since the colour is formed from the aluminium surface itself, it does not chip the way paint can, which counts on a bike used for commuting all year and often parked outside. The lever is fixed, with no folding joint and no play along its length.
Inside a Handlebar Muff
A muff changes three things at the brake lever. The hand enters from behind, so the fingers arrive at the blade from a slightly different angle. The cover itself takes up space, so a long blade may press against the fabric at full pull. And you cannot see the lever, so you have to find it by touch every time. Before fitting the muffs on your NC750X, set the reach of the EDF018 in the gloves you will wear under them, often lighter ones, since the muff does much of the insulating. Then fit the muffs and pull the brake fully with the bars straight and at both locks, checking that the blade moves freely and returns without catching. Under a muff, the short or standard blade is usually easier to live with than the long one. In spring, when the muffs come off and thicker gloves go back on, check the reach again. And as with any cover over the controls, make sure it can never hold the lever partly applied.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the EDF018 for the NC750X in two separate periods: 2014 and 2015, and again from 2021 to 2025, after the model was redesigned. The model years 2016 to 2020 are not part of the listing, so check your registration papers before ordering. For NC750X bikes of 2014 and 2015 with the manual gearbox, the ESH250 clutch lever is also available.
Road Approval
This brake lever has no German ABE on record and is sold for closed-circuit riding.
