Forged to Race
OZ has supplied wheels to MotoGP, World Superbike and Formula 1 constructors for decades. The Gass RS-A brings that depth of competition knowledge into a wheel set you can fit at home and ride the same afternoon. Each wheel starts as a solid aluminium billet and is forged under extreme pressure into a near-net shape, aligning the grain structure of the metal for maximum strength without excess material. The result is a wheel that is noticeably lighter than a cast OEM equivalent, with none of the fragility associated with cheaper aftermarket options.
What Reduced Rotating Mass Means on the RSV4
The Aprilia RSV4 platform is already one of the most dynamically capable production superbikes ever built. Fitting the Gass RS-A set removes rotating inertia at both axles simultaneously. The engine spins up more freely under hard acceleration out of slow chicanes, the front end reacts to handlebar inputs with greater immediacy under braking, and mid-corner corrections require less physical effort. On a track with a mix of tight hairpins and fast sweepers — exactly the kind of circuit the RSV4 RR and 1100 Factory were designed to dominate — the cumulative effect is measurable in lap times and unmistakable in feel.
