DescriptionThe whole story▼
The JP ES 002 is the complete answer to the Panigale 959's canister: the drum, the valve, the hoses and the fault the controller stores when the solenoid disappears.
Key Features
- Ducati Panigale 959 (2016–2019)
- Removes the charcoal canister, its valve and its hoses
- Vents the fuel tank through a proper fitting
- Answers the purge valve circuit
- Frees the space the canister occupied
- Standard parts refit at any time
Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five Cubic Centimetres
Ducati enlarged the 899 for Euro 4 and gained a hundred and fifty-seven horsepower. It is the most usable Superquadro and the one most owners should buy.
Overfilling Ruins It
Continuing to pump after the nozzle clicks pushes liquid petrol into the carbon. A soaked bed causes hard starting and an uneven idle nobody traces to a fuel station.
Not on Every Bike
Ducati fits the system where regulations demand it and leaves it off elsewhere, which is why two apparently identical machines can differ under the tank.
Two Ends, Two Answers
The tank needs a vent and the controller needs a circuit. A kit supplying only one leaves half a conversion and its own set of complaints.
Two Different Motorcycles
A track bike loses nothing here and a registered road bike in a mandated market loses its compliance. The same model can be either.
What Does Not Change
Power, torque, throttle response, fuel consumption and the way the motorcycle rides. Anybody promising otherwise is describing something unmeasured.
Keep the Purge Valve
It refits with the vessel and it is the part a dealer will look for. Storing it with the rest costs nothing at all.
The Vent Is Not Optional
A fuel tank has to breathe. Take the canister out without providing a proper vent and the tank either pulls a vacuum and starves the engine or pressurises and pushes fuel out somewhere unhelpful. The kit provides a fitting for that reason, and it is the part of the job nobody should improvise.
Fuel Level and the Vent
A tank that cannot breathe pulls a vacuum as it empties, and the symptom is an engine that starves after forty minutes and runs perfectly the moment the filler cap is cracked open. Owners chasing that fault rarely suspect the vent, which is why the fitting supplied with the kit matters more than it looks.
