DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Suzuki DL250 V-Strom was the small member of the family, a light twin in adventure clothing that most owners ride far more often than they ride anything else in the garage. It goes to work, it goes shopping, it takes people to their first riding courses. Bikes used like that spend their lives outdoors, and the area around the filler sees more weather in a year than a garage queen sees in ten. Accossato lists the FC122 for the DL250 V-Strom, a quick-release fuel tank cap milled from aluminium.

Construction and Material Quality
The material list for this cap is short: CNC-machined aluminium, nothing else, which Accossato describes as robust and durable. Instead of a cap that has to be turned and aligned, the FC122 uses a quick-closing pawl, so the DL250's tank stands open only for as long as the fuel takes to go in. The pin in the pawl carries the colour, one of six, and it is the single decision you make when ordering. Years later, if that pawl has taken a knock, it can be ordered on its own; the body of the cap stays where it is.
The Bike That Goes Out Every Day
A machine in daily use collects road film, winter salt and a fine layer of dust around the filler, and all of that sits exactly where you do not want it when the tank is open. The habit worth building is simple: wipe the top of the tank before the cap comes off rather than after, so nothing is carried into the neck. Gloves make the same case for a quick closure. Fingers that are cold, wet or still inside a winter glove are not good at fiddly work, and a pawl that opens with a single pull is easier to manage than a fitting that needs two hands and a key held between the teeth. When the DL250 V-Strom is taken to a training ground for the day, that small saving repeats itself at every stop.
Fitment and Compatibility
Under DL 250 V-Strom, Accossato gives the years 2018 to 2021 for the FC122, and those are the model years covered here. We list the same cap for the GSX250R, the SFV650 Gladius and the DL1000 V-Strom as well. Please compare your bike with the application list before you order.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are documented for this cap, so it is sold for closed circuits and events. For public roads the DL250 keeps the original cap, which normally opens with the ignition key.
Scope of Delivery
