DescriptionThe whole story▼

Nothing in a motocross race loads the front brake like the first corner. The gate drops, the Honda CRF250R is flat out in a pack of riders, and then everyone has to shed that speed at the same moment, with little room and no second chance. Accossato's DK107 is a fixed front disc for the CRF250R from 2015 to 2024, made in one piece of steel according to the supplier. It is 260 mm across and 3 mm thick and bolts on through six holes of 6.5 mm on a 117 mm circle.

Key Features

  • Fixed front brake disc for the Honda CRF250R, 2015 to 2024
  • One-piece steel disc from Accossato's off-road range
  • 260 mm outer, 101 mm inner diameter, 3 mm thick
  • Six mounting holes of 6.5 mm on a 117 mm hole circle
  • Interchangeable with the original equipment disc
  • Minimum thickness marked on the disc
  • One disc for the single front brake
  • No German ABE documented; for competition use

Construction and Material Quality

Off-road discs are thin, and the DK107 is no exception at 3 mm. A slim one-piece disc keeps the mass of the front wheel down and leaves few places where mud can settle, which suits a bike that is thrown from side to side all day. Accossato gives precise mounting data: a 101 mm centre opening and a hole circle of 117 mm carrying six 6.5 mm holes, the pattern it shares with the original disc. The company also names its road-racing background in Superbike, Moto2 and Moto3 as the source of its knowledge about discs.

Into the First Turn

Starts are won on the throttle and often lost on the brakes. In the rush to the first turn, riders brake later than on a normal lap, often while bumping bars with a neighbour and with roost from the bikes ahead hitting their goggles. The front brake has to respond predictably from the first pull, which is why the disc should be checked before race day rather than after it. With the CRF250R on a stand, spin the front wheel and watch the edge of the disc against a fixed point; a wobble means it is bent. Look for glazing, blue patches and cracks around the mounting holes, and measure the thickness against the minimum printed on the disc. Accossato is clear that a worn disc can break under extreme stress, and the first corner of a race is exactly that kind of stress. Change pads that are close to their limit at the same time, and make a few hard stops in practice before the gate drops.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the DK107 for the CRF250R from 2015 to 2024, and its list also includes an Enduro version of the bike for the same years. For the front wheel, the range holds a second option, the DK263, which is larger in diameter; the DK012 covers the rear. The CRF250R runs a single front disc, so one DK107 renews the front brake completely.

Road Approval

The DK107 has no documented German ABE and no type approval. It is sold for competition and closed-course riding.
