DescriptionThe whole story▼
Please note: sale to France is prohibited.
The CWR-F2R Dark Tint visor is the racing-specification shield designed exclusively for the Shoei X-SPR PRO, engineered for riders who refuse to let fierce sunlight compromise their line of sight. Every detail — from the dark tint graduation to the integrated vortex aerodynamics — reflects Shoei's decades of Grand Prix heritage translated directly into this visor's DNA.
Key Features
- Dark tint finish with 24–30% light transmission, purpose-built for high-intensity sunlight on track and hot summer road days
- Vortex generator geometry actively reduces aerodynamic drag and lift at speed, keeping the visor stable where it matters most
- Two-dimensional visor profile is optimised for tear-off film compatibility, with eccentric pins already integrated for professional race use
- PINLOCK EVO ready — the inner lens posts are factory-fitted so a PINLOCK EVO insert can be added instantly
- Tool-free quick-release mechanism allows a visor swap in seconds, critical during pit stops or changing conditions
- UV protection exceeding 99%, shielding your eyes even through the darkest tint
Design, Finish and Racing Heritage
Shoei introduced the CWR-F2 platform to meet the exacting demands of MotoGP-level competition, and the Racing (CWR-F2R) variant takes that brief further still. The dark tint is not simply a colour choice — it is a deliberate optical specification, allowing 24 to 30 percent of visible light through while blocking more than 99 percent of UV radiation. The two-dimensional curvature keeps tear-off films seated flat and peel-off cleanly, exactly as a racer requires when vision is non-negotiable.
The vortex generators moulded into the visor surface are a direct inheritance from Shoei's aerodynamic research programme: small, precisely placed turbulators that manage boundary-layer airflow, reducing the buffeting forces that can unseat lesser visors at motorway or track speeds. The result is a visor that sits firmly, quietly and confidently on the X-SPR PRO at any velocity.
On Track — Performance Notes
On a sun-drenched circuit the dark tint eliminates the squinting and eye fatigue that erode concentration and lap times. Combined with tear-off films — fitted to the eccentric pins that come as standard on this visor — riders can strip away a contaminated layer in a single motion and return to a pristine view instantly. The PINLOCK EVO preparation means that even in the cool early-morning hours of a track day, a PINLOCK insert eliminates fogging without removing the tint benefit.
Visor Care
Clean only with clean water and a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use solvents, abrasive cleaners or petrol-based products. Replace the visor immediately if it shows cracks, deep scratches or any structural damage. A care and fitting guide is included in the packaging.
Important Safety Notice
This visor does not hold ECE-R 22.06 road-use approval. It must be used in daylight conditions only and is not suitable for night riding. Always verify local regulations before use on public roads.
Fitment and Compatibility
The CWR-F2R Dark Tint visor is designed specifically for the Shoei X-SPR PRO helmet. It is not compatible with any other Shoei helmet shell or earlier CWR-F variants. Verify your helmet model before ordering.
