The Rivale 800 is MV Agusta's supermoto-styled triple. The JP ACS 060 replaces its throttle housing with a machined Ergal unit and a shorter cam.

A Motorcycle Nobody Asked For
MV took the Brutale's triple, gave it long-travel suspension, a high seat, wide bars and folding footrest tips, and produced something between a supermoto and a naked bike. It sold in small numbers and is remembered fondly by everyone who rode one.
Wide Bars, Different Leverage
The riding position puts the rider's hands further apart and higher than on a Brutale, which changes how throttle inputs arrive. A shorter cam suits that geometry, because the wrist has less natural rotation available in an upright posture.
Three Model Years
The Rivale ran from 2014 to 2016 and then quietly disappeared as MV rationalised its range. That short life is why examples are scarce and why the aftermarket around it is narrow.
Cable Throttle
The conversion is mechanical, uses the motorcycle's own cables and disturbs nothing electrical. On an MV of this era that is a meaningful advantage rather than a technicality.
Exposed Construction
The Rivale shows its trellis frame and single-sided swingarm without apology. A machined aluminium throttle housing sits among those in a way a cast body with a plastic cover does not.
Plain Flank
No lettering on this version. On a motorcycle as visually busy as the Rivale, an unmarked component in the cockpit is generally the calmer decision.
Folding Footrest Tips
A small detail that reveals the intent: MV expected the Rivale to be ridden hard enough to touch its pegs down and designed accordingly. It is not a supermoto, but whoever drew it had clearly spent time on one.
