A Panigale With the Fairing Off
Ducati took the V4, raised the bars, removed the bodywork and left the 1103 cc engine at 208 hp. It is an absurd motorcycle and the company knew exactly what it was doing.
Wings That Are Not Optional
The Streetfighter's biplane winglets exist because a naked bike with this much power lifts its front wheel at speeds where that is genuinely unhelpful. They are functional first and striking second.
Two Hundred and Eight Horsepower
Only six down on the faired bike, behind a wide handlebar and no protection at all. Nothing about the specification is sensible and that is the entire appeal.
Housing, Switch Retained
This part covers the throttle assembly only. The switch block stays, which makes it the cheaper way to replace the moulded plastic when the electrics are still healthy.
A Sensor, Not a Cable
The grip's rotation is read electronically. A machined bore keeps that reading consistent, which on an engine with this much torque at low openings is more than a theoretical benefit.
Black Anodised
Converted into the aluminium rather than sprayed over it. On a naked bike the cockpit is visible from outside as well as from the saddle.
Cut From Ergal
The 7075 grade, roughly double the yield strength of ordinary machined alloy. It is the appropriate material for a component clamped to a bar and expected not to move.
Nothing Deflects Anything
With no fairing, the throttle assembly meets rain, road spray and grit directly. A one-piece machined body has no clipped joint for any of it to work into.
