The JP ACC BM008 gives the M1000R a throttle assembly cut from solid Ergal, with the rotation shortened to sixty degrees and the electrical side left alone.

The M Naked
Winglets on a roadster looked absurd until people rode it. The M1000R takes the superbike engine, removes the fairing and leaves the rider holding a wide bar behind two hundred horsepower.
The Reset Is Not Optional
The controller has to relearn the closed position after the assembly is changed, and that needs a diagnostic tool. Skipping it leaves the bike running badly or not at all.
Learning It Takes One Session
The first few corners feel abrupt because the hand is still travelling the old distance. By the end of an afternoon the new sweep is the one the wrist expects.
Ergal
The trade name covers the 7000 series alloys, chosen here because the internal profile has to hold its shape under a spring load for years.
Storage
The standard assembly is plastic and will not corrode, but the connector will. A bag and a dry shelf are the whole of the requirement.
Model Specific
The part numbers are tied to particular motorcycles because the mounting, the sensor and the connector all differ. There is no universal version of this.
The Habit Transfers
Riders who run this on one machine tend to find the standard throttle on another feels vague afterwards. It is a preference that travels with the hand.
With a Passenger
Every input reaches a pillion through the rider's back, and smoothness stops being a matter of taste. A shorter sweep makes it a skill rather than something the motorcycle supplies. Manageable, but not what this part was drawn for.
When Not to Fit It
On a machine used mostly in traffic, mostly two-up or mostly on gravel. The part rewards deliberate throttle use and punishes casual throttle use, and there is no setting to change that balance afterwards.
