The JP ES KIT04 removes secondary air from the Panigale 959 properly: the controller finds what it expects and the cylinder head is closed with aluminium rather than plastic.

Euro 4 Cost It Weight
The catalyst, the secondary air system and the evaporative hardware all arrived together. It is the clearest example in the range of regulation adding mass.
Not a Performance Part
Nothing changes about power, throttle response or consumption. The gains are a tidier engine and one fewer perishable component.
On a V-Twin
The rear cylinder sits behind the frame under the tank, which makes it the awkward half of the job rather than the difficult one.
Weight Is Not the Point
A few hundred grams leave the motorcycle. Nobody will notice and nobody should buy this expecting to.
The Reed Argument
A cracked reed lets exhaust gas back towards the filter, and the residue shows up in the airbox long before anybody suspects the system.
The Diagnosis Is Cheap
The airbox element shows whether a reed has been passing gas backwards, and it costs nothing to look while the box is already open.
Access Is the Real Cost
The parts themselves take twenty minutes. Getting the tank and frequently the airbox out of the way is what fills the evening, which is the whole argument for doing both halves at once.
Completely Reversible
Nothing is cut, drilled or soldered anywhere in either half. Both original components refit on their own hardware with no replacement seals needed, which is what makes an emissions inspection or a resale a conversation rather than a problem.
Storing the Original Parts
Solenoid, housings, hose and every fastener in one labelled bag, kept with the motorcycle rather than in a cupboard somewhere. The value of this job being reversible is entirely dependent on somebody being able to find the parts, which is a lower bar than it sounds and one plenty of owners fail.
