Bug Eyes
The twin round headlights divided opinion from the first day and became the model's signature. Triumph kept them for three generations because owners would not accept anything else.
A Daytona Underneath
Triumph took the supersport engine, softened the tune and fitted a wide handlebar. It was the first naked middleweight that genuinely handled.
Exhaust Gas Analysis
Air arriving after combustion moves what a wideband sensor reads. Any map written from a run with the system still live describes the plumbing as much as the engine.
Not a Power Part
Removing the valve frees nothing and adds nothing. It removes a noise, a fault code and a component, which is the honest description of what it does.
The Whole Path
Airbox, hose, reed pack, cylinder head port and a solenoid controlling the lot. A complete deletion accounts for every one of them.
Why Every Modern Triple Has One
Emissions cycles measure what leaves the pipe rather than what happens inside the cylinder, so burning the residue after the fact is a legitimate way to pass. It costs the manufacturer almost nothing and it costs the rider nothing except a noise nobody wants.
A Straight Swap
Unplug the valve, plug in the eliminator, secure the lead so it cannot chafe. There is no third step and no configuration of any kind.
A Change With No Downside on a Track Bike
Where there is no approval to lose and no inspection to pass, the only question is whether the work is neat. That makes this an easy decision on a machine that has left the road.
No Effect on Fuelling
The injectors are shut when the valve operates. Nothing the eliminator does touches the mixture at any point where mixture exists.
