The JP ES 007 plugs into the Multistrada V2 where Ducati's secondary air valve did, presenting the winding resistance the controller measures before it decides anything is wrong.

Two Hundred and Two Kilograms
Dry, which makes the V2 considerably lighter than the V4 and a great deal easier to manage at walking pace with luggage fitted.
Before Any Mapping
Air arriving after combustion moves what the lambda sensor reports, and a map built on that run describes the plumbing as much as the engine.
A Twin Sounds Different
Two large cylinders produce widely spaced exhaust pulses, and residue burning between them is more distinct than on a four. Owners of the big twins notice this most.

Nothing here needs a special fitting or a diagnostic connection. Seat off, tank lifted, connector swapped, everything back together and a short ride.

Half the exhaust is standard and the overrun is already louder than it was. The valve is the difference between a pleasant note and a constant crackle.

Why It Costs More Than a Resistor
A resistor and some heatshrink will produce the same electrical result for a fraction of the money, and it will work until water finds the crimp or vibration finds the joint. The difference here is a potted body with the correct connector moulded on, sitting in one of the hottest and wettest parts of the motorcycle for the rest of its life.
What the Valve Actually Sounds Like
On a cold start it clicks softly under the tank as the controller opens and closes it, and a valve that has started to stick sometimes buzzes instead. Riders who have heard that noise for years generally notice its absence long before they notice anything else about the deletion.
