The JP MJ 008 is the simpler of JetPrime's two fuel units for the R6: a curve somebody else worked out, rather than one the owner has to develop.

The Supersport That Would Not Die
Yamaha stopped selling the R6 for the road and kept building it for racing. Its engine makes nothing below ten thousand and a great deal above.
On a Machine Being Sold
Unplugging the module and putting it in a box makes the motorcycle standard again. Whether that helps or hurts the sale depends entirely on the buyer, which is an argument for keeping the original connectors in good condition.
The Price of the Alternative
A dyno session with a mapping specialist costs several times what this does, and the result is written into the original controller where it stays. Both approaches are legitimate and they suit different owners.
No Software to Learn
It is worth repeating because it is unusual: this product has no user interface at all. It is plugged in and then it is forgotten about, which is why it suits owners who are not looking for a project.
The Homologation Compromise
Every production motorcycle is mapped to pass a test in a laboratory, using a reference fuel, at a reference temperature, with a reference exhaust. A rider meets none of those conditions on an ordinary morning.
Intake Changes Too
A high-flow filter shifts things the same way. Owners running both an exhaust and a filter are the furthest from the factory calibration and have the most to gain.
Two Up and Loaded
A pillion and luggage put the engine at higher load for the same throttle opening, which moves the operating point into a different part of the map and often exposes it.
Closed Loop and Open Loop
Below a certain load the controller trims against the oxygen sensor; above it, it follows the stored map alone. The second region is larger than most riders expect and it is where a module has free rein.
