The JP ES 002 deletes the evaporative system on the Streetfighter V4, including the electrical half, so nothing is left hanging and nothing is left flagged on the panel.

A Panigale Without the Fairing
Ducati took the V4 superbike, fitted a wide handlebar and removed the bodywork. The result is one of the most extreme naked motorcycles anybody has ever sold.
Space Rather Than Weight
The real gain is access. Shock adjusters, linkage bolts and exhaust hangers all become reachable once the assembly has gone.
Ethanol Shortens the Life
Modern pump blends are harder on activated carbon than the fuel the system was designed around, which is why canisters on recent machines give up sooner than intended.
Nothing Structural
The bracket carries the vessel and nothing else. No part of the frame, the subframe or the fuel supply is affected by its removal.
The Weight Is Not the Point
A kilogram and a half changes nothing about how the motorcycle rides. The space and the removal of a component that fails without warning are the reasons.
The Vessel Cannot Be Opened
Ducati supplies the canister sealed, so a saturated bed means a new one rather than a service. That economics is why so few owners replace one twice.
Legal, Not Technical
The obstacle to removing evaporative control is regulatory rather than mechanical. The motorcycle runs perfectly well without it and always would have.
An Afternoon, Not an Evening
The removal itself is simple once the tank and side panels are off. What takes the time is tracing every hose to its end and making sure nothing is left open, because an open vapour line into an intake is worse than the canister ever was.
Hoses Are Not All the Same
The lines between tank, canister and intake carry vapour rather than liquid fuel and are sized accordingly. Reusing one as a vent line because it happens to be the right length is the kind of shortcut that works until a hot day, and it is not worth the twenty minutes it saves.
