The JP ES 063 empties the space the charcoal canister took up on the Multistrada V2 and closes the fuel system properly rather than leaving the tank to breathe through nothing.

Twenty Litres
Enough for a genuine three hundred and fifty kilometres, which is what makes the Multistrada usable for the touring its owners actually do.
The Tank Still Breathes
Fuel drawn out has to be replaced by air coming in, so the kit supplies a proper vent fitting rather than leaving a hose to find its own way.
Reversible
Vessel, bracket and hoses all refit in their original positions, so an inspection or a sale can be answered with the standard arrangement back in place.
Why the Bed Fills
Carbon holds vapour in its pores until they are full and releases it when the engine draws on them. Liquid fuel fills those pores permanently.
Label the Hoses
Marking each line as it comes off turns a future refit from a puzzle into a straightforward reversal. Masking tape and a pen cost nothing.
Fuel Vapour Rises
Which is why the vent has to be routed and terminated properly rather than simply pointed downwards and forgotten about entirely.
On a Panigale in Particular
The tail is short and densely packed, and the canister competes with the shock, the exhaust and any electronics an owner has added. Space there is genuinely scarce.
Where the Space Goes
Different owners want it for different things: an aftermarket shock reservoir, a larger exhaust silencer, a set of luggage mounts or simply a clean look under the tail. The volume freed is genuine and it is usually in the most contested part of the motorcycle.
The Rollover Valve
Between the tank and the canister sits a valve that closes if the motorcycle goes over, and it is not part of the emissions system at all. It stays where it is, and anybody removing hoses in that area should be clear about which one they are looking at before cutting a tie.
