The CBF1000's four-cylinder came from the Fireblade but was retuned for low-down torque and long life, and many have covered very high mileages. An engine like that is worth looking after, and the Gilles OFC makes the oil filler easy to open.

Replacing a worn cap
After years of oil checks, the original cap is often marked by tools; the OFC's hexagon socket and the supplied tool avoid that in future.

Road Approval
No registration required, says Gilles, and no TÜV either: the OFC goes on the Honda CBF 1000 without an inspection and without any change to the papers.

Swap the caps with the bike upright and the engine cold. Hand-tight first, then snug with the tool; overtightening does nothing for the seal.
