Both gains at 11,600 rpm. On a 250 four-stroke motocrosser that is close to where the engine is being held for most of a lap, and it is the only rev point Akrapovic publishes for this system — power and torque both measured at the same place.

Steel Tubes, Titanium Sleeve
The Racing Line splits the materials by task. Stainless steel takes the header and link pipes, where a fall puts the weight of the motorcycle onto the tubing. Titanium takes the muffler sleeve, where the weight saving is available and the loads are lower.
Akrapovic also builds an Evolution Line for these years, S-H2MET9-QTA, which is titanium throughout and costs correspondingly more. This is the durable half of the choice.

An Older Machine
The 2016 and 2017 CRF250R is now a practice bike or a first four-stroke for a younger rider. At that stage in a motorcycle's life the Racing Line is the proportionate choice — the Evolution Line for the same years costs more than many of these bikes are worth.
Eighty Minutes
Longer than the Evolution Line takes on the same machine, because the steel headers have to be unbolted from the cylinder head separately rather than lifting out as one assembly. Budget an hour and a half.
Meets FIM Noise Limits
The system is built to pass the sound check at a regulated meeting with the insert fitted. On a bike ridden at club level that is the practical constraint, not the power figure.
An Imprinted End Cap
Akrapovic finishes the muffler with a titanium end cap carrying an imprinted mark rather than a sticker. On a motocross bike washed with a pressure hose after every meeting, a printed decal would not survive the season.
Where It Sits in the Range
Below the Evolution Line and above the Slip-On Line. It is a complete system, so the headers come off — but the tubing is steel, which is what keeps the price a third below the flagship.
