DescriptionThe whole story▼
Shut the throttle on a two-stroke 250 and the bike barely slows; there is none of the engine braking a four-stroke rider is used to. That puts extra work on the rear brake of the TM Racing MX 250 2T. For the model years 2005 to 2025, Accossato lists the AGPP106 rear pad, and this Organic version has a soft, gradual response that suits a rider who drags the rear lightly through turns and wants the rear disc to last.
Key Features
- AGPP106 rear pad for the TM Racing MX 250 2T, 2005 to 2025
- Organic compound, SKU AGPP106OR
- Accossato: lasting performance, modest disc wear
- Gradual response for dragging the rear
- Most at home on dry, hard-pack tracks
- ST and STMX also offered on this plate
- Two pads for the rear caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's claim for its Organic mixture is simple: the pad keeps working for a long time and takes little out of the disc. A two-stroke rear brake is touched in almost every corner, so a compound that is easy on the rotor pays for itself over a season of training. The Italian maker adds that its pads stay cool enough to resist fade and still pull the bike up firmly.
Why Two-Stroke Riders Lean on the Rear
Riders coming from a four-stroke often notice it in the first corner: the MX 250 two-stroke keeps rolling when the throttle closes. Experienced two-stroke riders compensate with the rear brake, dabbing it to scrub speed and dragging it to hold a tight line. That style only works if the pad responds gently to small changes in pedal pressure. A grabby pad locks the wheel and pushes the bike wide. The Organic AGPP106 gives the soft, steady build-up that makes rear-brake steering easier, particularly on dry ground where the tyre has plenty of grip.
Setting the Pedal
Two-stroke riders keep the right boot close to the pedal. Adjust its height so you can cover it without lifting the foot off the peg, and after fitting new pads make sure the pedal returns fully; a pedal that hangs slightly low leaves the rear dragging and cooks both pad and disc.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPP106 rear pad is catalogued for the MX 250 two-stroke from TM Racing for 2005 to 2025. Front brakes of the same model take AGPA29, listed from 2001 onward. The earliest rear brakes, 2001 to 2004, have no Accossato pad in this list, so check the old pads before ordering for such a bike.
Road Approval
There is no ABE and no approval documentation for AGPP106OR that we could provide. It is sold for off-road competition.
