DescriptionThe whole story▼
RC stands for Reparto Corse, MV Agusta's racing department, and the F4 RC was the limited edition that brought the company's racing know-how closest to its customers. It was built for riders who wanted an F4 as near as possible to the racing machines, and many of the few that exist spend more time on circuits than on roads. Racing paddocks are full of fuel cans, and not all of them hold the same thing. For the F4 RC of 2015 to 2018, Accossato lists the FC119, a quick-release aluminium tank cap with a pin in one of six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the MV Agusta F4 RC 1000, 2015 to 2018
- CNC-machined aluminium, body in a single material
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Pawl sold separately as a spare
- New design, robust and durable according to Accossato
- No German ABE documented; for track and racing use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the FC119 completely from aluminium on CNC equipment and stands by it as robust and durable, with a new design. On the F4 RC, the quick-closing pawl opens the tank at once and closes it again with a single movement. The pin on the pawl comes in one of six colours, chosen when you order. If the pawl is damaged, a replacement can be bought separately.
One Label for Every Fuel Can
In a paddock where racing bikes gather, a friend's two-stroke needs premix, the bike in the next awning may run on a fuel chosen for its engine set-up, and your own van may hold more than one kind. On a bike like the F4 RC, which many owners run in track trim, what goes into the tank should always be the fuel its engine is set up for, whatever that is in your case. The simplest defence against mix-ups is a system: one colour or one clear label per fuel type, written on the can itself rather than on a lid that can be swapped, and a fixed place for each can in the van and under the awning. Never borrow a can without asking what is in it, and never lend yours without saying. Before you open the FC119, read the label once more, then pour, close the pawl and put the can back where it lives. It sounds pedantic, but a tank of the wrong fuel is a long and costly way to end a weekend.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the F4 1000 RC of 2015 to 2018 with the FC119, and this product covers those years. With us the same cap is also listed for the F4 RR 1000 and the Brutale 1090. Check your F4 RC against the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are documented for the FC119, so it is a part for the circuit. If your F4 RC is road-registered, its standard cap, normally opened with the ignition key, is the one for public roads.
