Spacer 10.1/22/10, Öhlins part number 01582-17. Spacers are machined rather than cut, so the ends are square and the load is even.
Key Features
- Dimension B 22 mm
- Öhlins part number 01582-17
- Dimension C 10 mm
- Dimension A 10.1 mm
- Original Öhlins service part
Where It Sits
Dimensionally this is 10.1 mm, 22 mm, 10 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. A spacer sets an internal dimension: preload on a stack, free length, or the position of a piston. Substituting a spacer changes the internal geometry, not just the fit. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry.
Original Öhlins Part
The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Buying the individual part rather than a complete assembly is what makes servicing an Öhlins unit worthwhile. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you.
Identifying the Right Part
If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 01582-17. Öhlins states dimension a 10.1 mm, dimension b 22 mm, dimension c 10 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. A plug that seals a gas port is a pressure part despite its size. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why.
Fitting and Setup Service
Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.
