DescriptionThe whole story▼

Kawasaki has moved the ZX-10R on for 2026, and the rearset that fitted the 2021-2025 chassis no longer lines up with it. K025 is Bonamici Racing's answer: a rearset system drawn specifically around the new model year rather than adapted from the outgoing K021. It reaches the market on 21 September 2026 as the headline item of the reworked ZX-10R accessory line.

Key Features

  • Developed from scratch for the 2026 ZX-10R chassis — the previous K021 rearset does not transfer to this model year.
  • Supplied to cover both shift patterns: standard road shift and reversed race shift, chosen at fitting rather than bought twice.
  • Adjustable peg position, the reason most riders fit a rearset at all: it lets you set foot height and reach to your own leg length instead of Kawasaki's average.
  • Bonamici Racing machines its rearsets in-house in Italy and supplies teams in Italian and world-level championships.
  • Part number K025 — quote it when ordering, as the ZX-10R has carried four different rearset numbers across its generations.

Why a Rearset Changes More Than Foot Position

On a ZX-10R the standard pegs are set for a rider of roughly average build doing a mix of road and track. Move the pegs back and up and the whole riding position rotates: your knee closes, your weight shifts forward over the front tyre, and the bike stops trying to stand you up under braking. Just as importantly, the brake pedal and gear lever move with the pegs, so the relationship between boot and control stays correct instead of leaving you stretching for a pedal that is suddenly out of reach. That is the difference between a rearset and simply bolting on higher pegs.

Standard or Reversed Shift

A reversed pattern — one up, five down — keeps your foot under the lever through a long right-hander, which is why it is near-universal in racing. On the road it takes a deliberate week of relearning. K025 covers both, so the decision is yours at installation and reversible afterwards.

Fitment and Compatibility

This rearset is built for one machine:

  • Kawasaki ZX-10 R — model year 2026

It does not fit the 2021-2025 ZX-10R. For that generation Bonamici supplies K021.

Road Approval

Bonamici Racing publishes no ABE or EC type-approval for this rearset, and none is supplied with it. In Germany that makes it a part you fit at your own assessment for road use, and an unrestricted choice for track days and racing.
