DescriptionThe whole story▼

A Yamaha Tracer 7 used mainly for commuting benefits from a rear brake that bites softly and quietly, making low-speed filtering and parking easier. Accossato rear pad AGPP88 in the Organic (OR) compound is designed for that. Accossato lists AGPP88 for the Tracer 7 from 2016 to 2024. OR is the gentle, disc-friendly choice of the two compounds offered for this rear pad.

Key Features

  • Rear pad AGPP88 in Organic (OR) compound
  • For the Yamaha Tracer 7, 2016-2024
  • Accossato: longer performance, limited disc wear
  • Soft initial bite for low-speed control
  • Quiet in commuter traffic
  • Two pads, full rear set
  • Also offered in ST

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato says its Organic compound keeps performing over a long life and limits disc wear. On the rear of a commuting Tracer 7, which gets used frequently but gently, those qualities fit. The company's general claims for all its pads, including slow wear, less fade and strong stopping, are its own statements.

Filtering and Parking

Commuters on a Tracer 7 spend a lot of time at walking pace: filtering between queues, creeping up to the stop line and manoeuvring into parking spaces. A light touch on the rear brake keeps the bike steady in those moments without affecting the steering. A pad with a soft, progressive start makes that easy, and OR is designed to respond well when cold. For touring with a pillion or riding through winter, ST is the alternative. It is worth remembering that many riders under-use the rear brake altogether; on a commuter, practising a gentle rear application in quiet moments builds a habit that pays off in an emergency stop, when both brakes together shorten the distance.

Rear Pad Check

Look at the rear pads through the caliper whenever you lube the chain. When replacing them, clean the caliper, press the piston back and pump the pedal until firm.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPP88 for the Yamaha Tracer 7 from 2016 to 2024. The rear has one caliper, so one box is a full set. Accossato's front pad for the Tracer 7 is AGPA97, listed for 2016 to 2026.

Road Approval

AGPP88OR is offered for competition use, since there is no ABE and no test documentation with us.

Scope of Delivery
