DescriptionThe whole story▼
Winter is when many owners of a Tuono V4 1100 RR catch up on the jobs the riding season left no time for. The bike stands in the garage, the battery sits on a charger, and small parts get replaced. Accossato's folding LV012 brake lever for the Tuono V4 1100 RR of 2017 to 2019 is a typical winter job. It mounts on the original brake master cylinder, the reach can be adjusted, and the coloured blade hinges from a black base, so it can fold away if the bike falls.

Construction and Material Quality
For the Tuono V4 1100 RR, Accossato makes the LV012 in two parts, both CNC-machined from aluminium: a base that carries the pivot and the reach adjuster, and a blade joined to it by a hinge. Both are anodised, the base black and the blade in one of seven colours. The anodised finish is a surface layer formed from the aluminium, so there is no paint to touch up later. Strong wheel cleaners are better kept away from it; a mild cleaner and a soft cloth do the job. The blade can be ordered with the RST lightening cut-out or as a solid NRST blade.
Winter Jobs on the Tuono
A winter check of the controls takes little time and is worth doing. With the LV012 fitted, look at the hinge between base and blade: it should move freely when you fold it by hand, and the blade should sit firmly once it is back in its working position. Check that the blade lines up with the base and that the reach adjuster moves through its range. If the bike fell over during the season, inspect blade and base for cracks or deep marks, even if the lever folded as intended; a part that has taken a hit deserves a close look before spring. Winter is also the time to decide on colour. A blade in a bright shade is easy to spot in photos from a track day, while black keeps the cockpit of the Tuono V4 1100 RR discreet. Whatever you choose, the reach is quick to set once the bike is back in use.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the LV012 for the Tuono V4 1100 RR from 2017 to 2019, with the Euro 4 bikes of 2019 included. For the same years there is also the RA001 with its 90-degree remote adjuster, which would replace the LV012 rather than accompany it. Fixed alternatives from Accossato are the EDF099 brake lever and the ESV04A clutch lever, both listed for the RR from 2017 to 2021.
Road Approval
As with the rest of this range, no German ABE is documented; the LV012 is sold for track use.
