In Light Grey the Knox Tor set comes colour-matched: a pale grey armoured shirt and a Light Grey Tor Shell that goes over it when the weather breaks. For summer adventure rides the pairing is about staying cool in the sun and having rain cover that takes up almost no space.
The shirt is a full protective garment, rated EN 17092 Class AA with Micro-Lock Compact Level 2 armour at shoulders, elbows and along the whole back. The shell adds a 10K waterproof, seam-sealed layer.

Why the Set Makes Sense
Adventure riders in summer face a familiar choice: a vented jacket that is still too warm, or a light shirt and a rain suit that eats luggage space. The Tor Duo answers with a Class AA armoured shirt that you can ride in all day and a shell that folds into its own pocket and then into the shirt.
Knox pairs the Light Grey shirt with a Light Grey shell, so the outfit looks consistent whether the shell is on or off.
Shirt Construction
The shirt uses a super lightweight high-tenacity fabric (95 percent nylon, 5 percent spandex) together with a two-tone In-Motion mesh. Knox's signature seams contour both fabrics to the body; the core fit is close so the armour cannot shift.
Inside are Micro-Lock Compact Level 2 protectors at the shoulders and elbows and a full-length Level 2 back protector. Five zipped pockets outside, four inside, a key clip and a visor wipe cover what you need on a day out.
Shell Construction
The shell is 100 percent rip-stop nylon, rated 10K waterproof and seam-sealed. Knox makes it thin and semi-translucent for low weight, so it doesn't add heat over the shirt.
It goes on over the head and closes with a stretch drawstring at the collar; an elastic hem and soft bonded elasticated cuffs keep water out at the edges. A micro pocket on the inside turns the whole shell into a small pack.
Visibility and Details
The shell's all-over tonal reflective mountain print lights up in headlights, while the shirt has reflective piping, reflective zip pulls and reflective Knox prints at the neck. A PVC Knox badge sits on the shirt sleeve.
Belt loops on the inside of the shirt connect it to your trousers, and the front carries a Velcro mount for an optional Knox chest protector.
Care
Take the Micro-Lock Compact pads out of the Light Grey shirt before washing and follow the label. Let the shell dry completely before you fold it back into its pocket, so it doesn't smell when you next unpack it.
What You Should Know
The shell is a rain cover only: no insulation, no armour, no zip. The armoured shirt provides the protection and is designed for hot weather. A chest protector is not part of the set.
Light Grey shows dirt quickly on both pieces. This colour is available up to size 3XL; the black set goes to 5XL.
Colour
Light Grey on Light Grey gives the Tor Duo a clean, technical look and keeps the shirt cooler in sunshine than darker versions. Pale grey also contrasts well with dark tarmac and shaded forest roads. It needs more frequent washing than black or Sage; take the armour out before washing the shirt and let the shell dry fully before packing it away.
