Five and a half kilos, gone. Spark's titanium racing collector for the Z900 weighs 2.2 kg where the standard one weighs 7.8 — the largest single weight reduction available on this motorcycle, and a limited edition rather than a catalogue staple.
Key Features
- Full titanium racing collector for the Kawasaki Z900, 2025 to 2026.
- 2.2 kg against 7.8 kg standard — 5.6 kg saved.
- Limited edition, per Spark.
- Designed to pair with Spark's Euro5+ slip-ons.
- Supplied without a silencer.
- Racing part — no catalytic converter, no certificate.
Where Five and a Half Kilos Live
On an inline four the collector is the heaviest single component of the exhaust, and on a Euro5+ machine it is heavier still because the catalytic converter sits inside it. Kawasaki's standard unit weighs 7.8 kg.
Replacing it with 2.2 kg of titanium takes more than five kilos off a motorcycle that weighs a little over two hundred — and takes it from low and forward, under the engine, where mass has the strongest effect on how a bike changes direction. There is no other single part on a Z900 that does anything comparable.
Limited, and What That Means
Spark describes this as a limited edition titanium racing manifold. On a part like this that is not marketing language: full titanium collectors are hand-welded, and the tooling and labour behind one do not scale the way a stainless production part does.
The practical consequence is availability rather than exclusivity. If this collector is part of the plan for the motorcycle, it is worth ordering while it is listed rather than assuming it will be there next season.
What It Needs Behind It
The collector is sold without a silencer. Spark's Euro5+ slip-ons for the same machine — the Konix Evo GKA0907TOM and GKA0907DOM, and the Grid-O GKA0908TOM — are the intended partners, and each comes with a carbon fibre heat shield for the pipe.
Note what the combination does to the paperwork. The slip-ons are homologated on their own; this collector is not, and fitting it removes the catalytic converter. A Z900 with both is a racing motorcycle regardless of what the silencer's certificate says.
Racing DNA, Spark's Words
Spark presents this collector as the companion to its Euro5+ slip-on range — an experience with, in the company's phrase, pure racing DNA. That is marketing language, but the part behind it is not: a hand-welded full titanium four-into-one for a road naked bike is an unusual thing to build.
It is also the reason the Z900 range reads the way it does. The slip-ons are homologated and sensible; this is the component that turns the same motorcycle into something else entirely.
Fitment & Compatibility
Kawasaki Z900, 2025 through 2026. Spark's slip-ons for the same machine are GKA0907TOM, GKA0907DOM and GKA0907T with the Konix Evo, and GKA0908TOM and GKA0908T with the Grid-O.
Road Approval
None. The collector removes the catalytic converter, which ends road legality regardless of what is fitted behind it.
