DescriptionThe whole story▼
When only the finest materials will do, the BST GP TEK Carbon Wheel Set delivers MotoGP-grade construction directly to your BMW M1000RR K66. Pre-preg carbon fibre rims, 6082 T6 aluminium hubs, Titanium Grade 5 hardware throughout, and carbon fibre inner spacers combine to produce a wheel set of extraordinary rigidity and minimal rotating mass — engineered without compromise for competitive track use.
Key Features
- Exceptionally low rotating mass: front wheel 1.7 kg, rear wheel 2.4 kg (both figures exclude bearings and spacers), enabling faster direction changes and sharper acceleration response.
- Pre-preg carbon fibre rim construction paired with 6082 T6 aluminium hubs for the optimum balance of stiffness, strength, and weight.
- Titanium Grade 5 inserts, bolts, and nuts throughout — the same specification demanded by factory racing teams worldwide.
- Carbon fibre inner spacers add structural rigidity while keeping the overall weight figure as low as possible.
- DOT E and JWL certified — independently verified for track use, giving you confidence at every corner apex.
- 90-degree aluminium ultra-high-speed valves with protective caps included as standard.
- 2-year manufacturer warranty backed by BST's decades of motorsport expertise.
Construction & Materials
BST builds the GP TEK rim shells from aerospace-grade pre-preg carbon fibre, a manufacturing process that ensures consistent fibre orientation and resin content in every single wheel. The hub is machined from 6082 T6 aluminium — a high-strength alloy selected for its superior fatigue resistance under repeated high-load braking and acceleration cycles. Every fastener in the assembly is Titanium Grade 5, chosen for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and total resistance to corrosion. The carbon fibre inner spacers are not a weight-saving afterthought; they are a structural element that stabilises the rim under lateral loads, preserving geometry precisely where it matters most.
Track Performance
Reducing unsprung and rotating mass is one of the most effective ways to sharpen a motorcycle's dynamic behaviour, and the GP TEK wheel set achieves this without any sacrifice in structural integrity. The front wheel carries radial load ratings of 275 kg (3.5-inch) or 327 kg (3.75-inch), with a lateral load rating of 783 Nm and torsional rating of 908 Nm. The rear wheel is rated to a radial load of 283 kg, lateral load of 720 Nm, and torsional load of 1,043 Nm — figures that reflect the engineering rigour applied to every aspect of the GP TEK's design. The set is supplied in standard OEM size as default; alternative sizes are available on request.
Please note: GP TEK wheels are designed exclusively for racing and competition use. They are not homologated for road use.
Fitment & Compatibility
This wheel set is engineered specifically for the BMW M1000RR K66, covering model years 2021 through 2026. The set is available with either steel bearings or ceramic bearings, and in a wide range of finishes to suit your machine's livery.
