DescriptionThe whole story▼
Lending a motorcycle to a friend is a sign of trust, and the Hyperstrada 821 is the kind of bike people like to borrow: comfortable, with luggage for a weekend away and enough character to make the trip memorable. Occasionally it comes back with a souvenir, such as a clutch lever bent in a slow fall in a car park. Nobody enjoys that conversation, but a modest repair makes it easier. For the Hyperstrada 821 of 2013 to 2015, Accossato lists the AGS310, a black replacement clutch lever in the original form.

Construction and Material Quality
A replacement of the original type suits this situation well, because the aim is to return the Hyperstrada 821 to its owner in the condition in which it left. The AGS310 is made in the form of the standard lever, so the controls look as they did. Accossato designed it for value for money, which keeps any discussion about who pays short, and it says its manufacturing process makes the lever more resistant after damage or impacts. The lever is black, as Accossato lists it.
Agreeing Before the Keys Change Hands
The awkwardness usually comes from what was not said beforehand. Before you lend the Hyperstrada 821, check that your insurance covers another rider, agree who pays for damage, and walk round the bike together so that you both know its condition, ideally with a few photos. Explain anything unusual, such as how the luggage is fitted or why the side stand needs firm ground once the cases are loaded. When the bike comes back damaged, talk about it the same day. For a bent lever, the practical solution is often that the borrower pays for the part and you fit it together. Clean the pivot and its bore, grease them lightly, fit the lever so that it moves freely, and check the clutch switch and the take-up at a standstill. Keep the old lever until everything is settled, then throw it away rather than straightening it.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGS310 is the only replacement lever of any kind that Accossato gives for the Hyperstrada 821, and its listing runs from 2013 to 2015. With us, the same code also appears under the Hypermotard 821, the Monster 797 and the Scrambler Classic. Accossato's CNC levers for the Hyperstrada 821 are EDB012 for the brake and ESD082 for the clutch. Before ordering, compare the product photo with the lever that is on your bike.
Road Approval
We hold no test or approval documents for this clutch lever: no German ABE and no test mark. That is why it is offered for racing and competition use.
