DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Sherco SEF 450 is the biggest four-stroke in this enduro family, and road-registered examples are often used as light, strong dual-sport bikes that cover long distances between trails. For the SEF 450 from 2014 to 2019, which Accossato lists as the SE 450 F, the front pad is AGPA29. This box holds the Organic mixture, a calm compound for owners who ride a lot of road miles and value a smooth lever and a long-lived disc.
Key Features
- Front pad AGPA29 for Sherco SEF 450 (SE 450 F), 2014 to 2019
- Organic mixture, article number AGPA29OR
- Accossato: durable performance, disc-friendly
- Smooth lever feel for long road stretches
- Quiet running between trails
- Extends front disc life on high-mileage bikes
- ST, STMX and EV1 are also available
Construction and Material Quality
Durability and disc care are the two points Accossato stresses for its Organic compound: the pad keeps performing across a long life, and it wears the disc only lightly. A dual-sport SEF 450 that crosses a region on minor roads and gravel tracks benefits from both. The firm also refers to heat kept in check, so fade stays away, and to a reliable stopping effect.
A Big Single for Long Days
A 450 four-stroke pulls strongly from low revs and slows noticeably when the throttle is closed. On long dual-sport days, that engine braking does part of the job, and the front brake mostly handles moderate, repeated stops at junctions, villages and gates.
An organic pad is comfortable in that role. Its progressive bite is easy to judge on mixed surfaces, it stays quiet on asphalt and it helps the disc last through many seasons of touring.
For races or deep mud, the tougher compounds for the same plate are the better match. For covering ground calmly on an SEF 450, the Organic version is a relaxed companion.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's catalogue gives AGPA29 for the front wheel of the SE 450 F, 2014 to 2019, shown in our garage as the SEF 450; the rear of that model takes AGPP80. The bike runs one front disc, so one box is enough. After a careful clean of the piston, fit the pads and squeeze the lever until it is firm.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval certificate for this pad in our records. It is supplied for off-road sport and competition.
Scope of Delivery
Two Organic front pads for the SEF 450 front caliper.
