DescriptionThe whole story▼
Shaytan 2 in Carbon Blue Green runs a sharper, more angular graphic than the Raceblock decors in this line — broken panels of blue and green cutting across the shell in a gloss finish rather than a chrome one. As with two other decors in this range, no manufacturer photograph of this exact code was available while researching this listing, so the colour description here is built from Shark's own supplier naming and stated as such, not dressed up as something independently verified against an image. The glossy topcoat is the one detail this listing can state with confidence: it is the finish Shark's own price sheet records for this code, distinguishing it from the matte version of the same graphic sold alongside it in this line.
Not the FIM flagship
Before the spec list: this is the Aeron, not the FIM-homologated Aeron GP FIM 2 that sits above it in Shark's current line-up. Every decor of this helmet, this one included, carries the Norme code 2206 on the price list with no FIM suffix — a road-approval standard, not a competition one. Anything the two helmets share stops at shell philosophy and aerodynamic development; homologation level and price are not among the things they have in common.
Shell: COVA carbon and aramid
The shell is built from Shark's COVA composite — carbon fibre and aramid fibre at roughly an 80/20 blend — across two separate shell sizes rather than one shell padded to cover the whole range. Shark's own 2027 spec data for this line states 1,440 g for the first, smallest shell size, a figure read directly from the structured data the manufacturer publishes for this model's current decors, not assumed from a differently built variant.
What ECE 22.06 actually tests
ECE 22.06 replaced 22.05 as the EU's mandatory approval standard for newly homologated helmets from January 2024, and the change runs deeper than a version number. Eighteen strike points instead of five, several impact speeds rather than a single one, and a genuinely new oblique-impact test against an abrasive anvil that the old standard never ran — measuring the rotational force a glancing hit produces, not only the straight-line force a drop test captures. Accessories, visor included, stay fitted through every test performed under it.
Weight as a number your neck carries all day
Shark's own figure for this shell's smallest size is 1,440 g. That number does its real work at the end of a long ride rather than in the moment you first pick the helmet up: every gram of it is carried above the neck through every head movement for as long as it stays on, not only absorbed in the instant an impact happens. A lighter composite shell like this one earns its price mostly in that cumulative sense.
Ventilation: five in, seven out
Five front intakes feed seven rear exhausts, more exit paths than entry paths by design, built to actively pull warm air away from the crown rather than let it sit and build up. The difference shows up most clearly on a slow, hot ride in traffic, where passive airflow alone does the least work — a stop-start commute punishes a poorly vented shell far more than a fast, open road ever does.
Visor and Pinlock
The fitted visor carries an Optical Class 1 rating with anti-fog and anti-scratch treatment, released without tools through a quick-release mechanism, with tear-off posts built in for track sessions. Pinlock compatibility comes standard; the Max Vision 120 Pinlock housing and the separate Instant Photochromic visor sold for this platform are both accessories, not fitted as standard on any current Aeron decor including this one.
Interior and fit
Best Fit interior padding in removable, washable Alvéotech antimicrobial textile, with Easy Fit grooves shaped for glasses arms. Retention runs through a magnetic double-D buckle, and a SHARK Emergency Remove System sits in the cheek pads for first-responder use. Two shell sizes split the six head sizes on offer, XS through XXL, rather than one shell covering the whole span with variable padding thickness.
Wind noise, honestly
A sealed chin bar and a closed full-face profile keep this helmet quieter at speed than any open-face design by basic construction, but no manufacturer decibel figure is published for this specific model, so none is invented here to put a number on that. The wind-tunnel testing behind the shell and spoiler targets drag and high-speed stability — a related question, not the same one as cabin noise.
Where this decor sits on price
Plain decors in the current Aeron range are the entry point, graphic decors including this Shaytan 2 colourway sit one step higher, and replica liveries sit at the top. Well above the whole line, the FIM-homologated Aeron GP FIM 2 is a different helmet, a different homologation, and a price this road-focused version was never built to match.
| Model | FIM |

| Aeron, plain decor | no |

| Aeron GP FIM 2 | yes |
Spare parts, later
A scratched or fogged visor does not mean replacing the helmet — Shark stocks the Aeron/Aeron GP visor family under its own part numbers across the platform, so a replacement stays available regardless of how long this particular graphic remains current.
What this helmet does not have
Stated directly: no SHARP rating applies to this decor with confidence. An "Aeron GP" entry does exist on SHARP from an August 2025 test, but it links to a now-discontinued replica decor from an earlier model generation with no confirmed connection to this 2027 shell — it is not treated as settling anything for this helmet. No MIPS, no DOT or Snell approval, no wind-noise figure, and no manufacturer photograph available to check this exact colourway against. This is also one of two finishes Shark offers for the Shaytan 2 graphic — the matte Red Anthracite version sold alongside it is a separate product with its own listing, not a variant selector on this one.
In the box
The helmet arrives with the visor fitted, a helmet cover, reflective bands, five breath filters, and summer and winter anti-fog masks, alongside Shark's documentation covering the 5-year warranty.
