DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Dainese Axial 2 is a race-bred motorcycle boot that translates MotoGP-level protection into a boot you can wear every day, whether you are heading to a trackday or commuting on a sports machine. Built around the D-Axial System in carbon and aramid fibre, it keeps your foot and ankle safe without sacrificing the feel you need for precise control.
Key Features
- D-Axial System constructed from carbon fibre and aramid fibre — guards the foot and ankle against rotational distortion under impact
- Removable and replaceable magnesium heel cap and ankle protectors — maintain long-term protection even after heavy use
- Asymmetric Groundtrax sole — engineered for maximum grip and high heat resistance at the track and on the road
- Rear zip entry with internal lacing system — secure, precise fit with practical on-and-off convenience
- IN construction with hook-and-loop fastening — integrates seamlessly with Dainese racing suits for a continuous protective interface
- Double Jersey Airgap lining — promotes airflow and thermal comfort across long riding sessions
- CE Category II certified to EN 13634 — the highest protective class for motorcycle boots
Construction and Materials
The upper combines microfibre and D-Stone fabric, a pairing chosen for its balance of abrasion resistance, flexibility and low weight. Nylon reinforcements at the heel and toe add structural rigidity where it matters most, while TPU gear-shift protection on the left side prevents wear from repeated lever contact. The elastic-material cuff follows the natural anatomy of the rider's leg, eliminating pressure points on long days in the saddle.
Control and Comfort on Road and Track
Every element of the Axial 2 is oriented towards feel and control. The internal lacing system lets you dial in the fit precisely before you zip up, while flexible articulations at the ankle keep movement natural when you are hanging off or shuffling on the pegs. The Groundtrax sole delivers consistent grip across tarmac temperatures, and the heat-resistant compound stays stable even when the exhaust is close.
Replaceable Components
The magnesium sliders at the toe and heel are designed to be replaced rather than requiring a whole new boot. Three replacement slider kits are available to suit different preferences:
- 1999948 — Kit Boots Magnesium
- 1999885 — Stainless Steel Boot Slider Kit
- 1999954 — Kit Boot Slider Plastic 16
Fitment and Compatibility
The Dainese Axial 2 is designed for use with Dainese one-piece and two-piece racing suits that feature the compatible IN connector system, ensuring seamless integration between suit and boot. Available in European sizes 39 to 47.
