DescriptionThe whole story▼
Shaytan 2 is the successor decor to Shark's earlier Shaytan graphic (a separate, discontinued colourway not carried into this 2027 range), and like the two Dashed colourways above it currently has no manufacturer product photograph. The supplier's own naming records the colour as Black Blue Yellow, a glossy finish, expected by name lineage to follow a similarly angular graphic style, though this cannot be confirmed without an image. The yellow accent named in the supplier's colour code would, if consistent with Shark's other accent-colour decors in this line, likely appear as a smaller highlight against a black base rather than a dominant tone — though this remains unconfirmed without an image.
Finish
This colourway is recorded in Shark's price list as glossy, alongside the other bright, high-contrast decors in this line rather than the more subdued matte options. No further detail on the graphic layout is offered beyond the supplier's naming, in the absence of a product photograph. The glossy finish is the one specification for this decor confirmed directly from Shark's price list rather than inferred from naming alone, distinct from the colour layout discussed elsewhere in this listing.
About the Shaytan 2 name
The '2' in Shaytan 2 is not decorative: Shark's own price list separately carries an original Shaytan decor (article HE8114, plus a matte HE8115) that predates this one and does not appear on the current 2027 rangebook pages — it has been discontinued rather than carried forward. Shaytan 2 is its direct successor graphic, not a variant of a decor still on sale.
The safety standard under the Shaytan 2 graphic
Shaytan 2 is certified to ECE 22.06, the EU's mandatory standard for newly homologated helmets since January 2024, and a meaningfully harder test than its 22.05 predecessor: eighteen impact points instead of five, multiple test speeds instead of one, plus a new oblique-impact test against a rough anvil that twists the shell rather than simply compressing it, and a first-time rotational Brain Injury Criterion score. The whole assembled helmet — shell, visor, Pinlock — is tested together.
Fibre construction behind the Shaytan 2 graphic
Shaytan 2's shell is multiaxial composite fibre, the cross-laid glass-fibre construction shared across this entire line and distinct from the carbon shell Shark also sells under the Spartan RS name. Both shells are certified to the same ECE 22.06 protocol, share the Double-D buckle, the multi-density EPS and the VZ300 visor family — carbon's advantage is weight and surface finish, not a different level of protection.
Neck load, Shaytan 2
At 1500 g for the first shell size (Shark's own figure; 1530 g on an independent test unit), Shaytan 2 sits in the normal range for a fibre full-face lid. That weight is carried entirely by the neck for as long as the helmet is worn, loaded through every acceleration and lean rather than passively — the reason serious commuters track this number even when the difference between helmets looks small on paper.
Ventilation under the Shaytan 2 graphic
The intake layout is the same across this line: a chin-bar vent aimed at the visor, a forehead vent, and a rear-spoiler exhaust that stays open at all times. Reviewers rate the sliders as workable with gloves but note the lack of detent clicks. Airflow is adequate for everyday riding conditions, a fair rather than exceptional result.
Visor system under the Shaytan 2 graphic
A drop-down sun visor gives near-complete face coverage with distinct click positions, singled out favourably in independent testing. The outer VZ300 visor is optical class 1, 2.8 mm to 2.2 mm variable thickness, four anchor points, central lock, anti-scratch coating and a factory-fitted clear Pinlock 120 insert.
Visor swaps on Shaytan 2
The same tool-free four-point visor lock used across the whole Spartan RS fibre line applies here, making a spare or tinted visor swap quick rather than a dealer job. Anti-scratch coating ships as standard equipment on every decor.
Intercom compatibility, Shaytan 2
The cheek-pad cavity here, unchanged from the rest of the line, is sized for Shark's Sharktooth intercom or a SENA For SHARK unit to sit flush rather than bolted externally. No unit ships with the helmet.
Sizing under the Shaytan 2 graphic
Two shell sizes cover XS through XXL rather than the three some reviewers treat as the premium standard — worth knowing before ordering at either end of the range. What compensates is an internal fit reviewers call distinctly round, good for riders who find Shoei or Arai too narrow, with independently swappable cheek pads.
On wind noise, Shaytan 2
No decibel figure is published for this helmet. One reviewer reports appropriate road noise without excessive drone at legal speeds on sport and naked bikes; another raises, without measuring it, a concern that the absent tight neck roll versus the older Spartan GT could mean more wind at motorway speed. Both are left as reported.
Spare parts, Shaytan 2
Shark's standing visor listing for the Spartan RS family covers this Shaytan 2 decor too, so a scratched or fogged visor is a simple replacement. The shared VZ300 visor family, also used on the Spartan RS Carbon and the Spartan GT Pro Carbon, keeps a broader range of stock and tints in production.
Where this sits in Shark's own range
Shaytan 2 is priced at 389.99 EUR, the standard tier for a graphic decor in this fibre range. Against Shark's own 2027 lineup:
| Line | UVP range | Shell |
|---|---|---|
| Skwal i3 | 319.99 - 399.99 EUR | Thermoplastic, LED brake light |
| OXO | 349.99 - 459.99 EUR | Thermoplastic modular |
| Spartan RS (this decor: 389.99 EUR) | 359.99 - 389.99 EUR | Multiaxial composite fibre |
| Spartan RS Carbon | 429.99 - 529.99 EUR | Carbon, same VZ300 visor family |
| Spartan GT Pro Carbon | 549.99 - 629.99 EUR | Carbon, also shares the VZ300 visor |
Limitations, honestly
This is one of five decors in the line still waiting on manufacturer photography, so take the Black Blue Yellow colour name as the supplier's own description rather than a confirmed detail. Once a photograph is published this listing should be checked against it rather than assumed correct. The shared two-shell sizing and unmeasured wind noise discussed above are unaffected by any of this. Buyers drawn to the Black Blue Yellow name should weigh that against the lack of a confirming photograph — a trade-off that does not apply to the six decors in this line Shark has already photographed.
