How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears. At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head.
Make sure the tape sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result, then compare the value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat
- Keep the tape horizontal, along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes: usually choose the larger size
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without uncomfortable pressure points. A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

Shell and Safety
The Falcon S is built on an HIRP (High Impact Resistant Polymer) shell — light for an off-road helmet at around 1.35 kg, yet tuned for effective impact absorption. It is homologated to ECE 22.06, the latest European standard. It uses a Double D-ring closure — the fastening trusted in racing because it self-tightens under load and can't be knocked open. (Note: MT publishes ECE 22.06 for the Falcon S; DOT is not listed for this model.)
Ventilation — a Core Strength
Off-road riding is hard work, and the Falcon S is built to keep you cool. Its open MX form combines multiple front air intakes with rear extractors to push a lot of air through the helmet, pulling heat and moisture away when you're working hard on the trail. Ventilation is one of this helmet's real strengths.
Peak and Goggles
As a true off-road helmet the Falcon S wears an adjustable peak to shade your eyes from the sun and deflect roost kicked up by other riders, and a wide goggle aperture shaped to take MX goggles comfortably. There is no face shield or drop-down sun visor — this is a goggle helmet, the way off-road lids are meant to be worn.
An Honest Word on What This Helmet Is
The Falcon S is an entry-level motocross / off-road helmet, and it's honest about its brief. It's made for dirt — trail, enduro and MX — so it uses goggles rather than a visor, has no drop-down sun visor and no intercom preparation, and is homologated to ECE 22.06 (MT does not list DOT for the S). It's a road-legal off-road helmet at an accessible price, not a premium carbon competition lid — but for getting into off-road riding, it's exactly the right tool.
Comfort and Fit
Inside, the padding is shaped for a secure off-road fit that stays put over rough ground, with channelling that works cleanly with goggle straps. The moisture-managing liner helps keep you comfortable when you're putting the effort in.
Design and Colour — The Pure A1 matt black finish
Pure A1 in matt is the tough, no-nonsense look — an all-over flat black that suits the Falcon S's aggressive MX lines and hides trail dust and light scuffs between rides. Purposeful and understated.
