DescriptionThe whole story▼
Please note: sale to France is prohibited.
When the racing line demands total commitment, the Shoei X-SPR PRO in matte black answers without compromise. Engineered around MotoGP-level technology and homologated to both ECE 22.06 and FIM FRHPhe-01 standards, this full-face racing helmet is built for riders who measure performance in tenths — whether on a circuit or a demanding mountain road. No graphic distractions, no superfluous weight: just clean, purposeful engineering dressed in understated matte black.
Key Features
- AIM+ (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus) shell uses a six-layer composite fibre mix for an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio at approximately 1,450 g
- Dual homologation: ECE 22.06 road approval and FIM FRHPhe-01 racing certification — fully track-legal from the very first lap
- 13-port ventilation system (7 intakes, 6 exhausts) with enhanced cheek-pad venting keeps concentration sharp at sustained high speed
- CWR-F2R visor with an enlarged vertical field of view; tear-off compatible and supplied with a Pinlock EVO anti-fog insert
- Patented aerodynamic stabiliser developed for speeds exceeding 350 km/h — stable, planted, and free of buffeting
- EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System) allows paramedics to remove the helmet safely without disturbing the rider's head or neck
Shell, Construction and Track Performance
The X-SPR PRO shell is formed from Shoei's AIM+ composite — a precisely layered matrix of glass, organic and high-performance fibres that distributes impact energy across the entire shell rather than concentrating it at a single point. The result is a helmet that passes the rigorous FIM FRHPhe-01 protocol, the same specification required for professional circuit racing under FIM jurisdiction. The double D-ring retention system is the same race-proven closure found at every level of the sport: positive, non-slip, and instantly adjustable even with gloved hands.
Aerodynamics were refined with high-speed stability as the primary objective. The integrated rear stabiliser manages lift and turbulence at speeds that most road helmets are never designed to encounter, while the overall silhouette reduces neck fatigue across a full race stint or an extended track day.
Ventilation and Interior Comfort
Thirteen ventilation ports — seven fresh-air intakes across the chin bar and crown, six exhaust outlets at the rear — work with internal channelling optimised for a tucked riding position. Airflow is directed precisely around the face and over the head, preventing the heat build-up that blunts concentration. The modular interior liner is fully removable and machine washable, dries quickly between sessions, and can be fine-tuned with Shoei inlet pads for a personalised fit. Eyeglass wearers will find a spectacle groove integrated into the cheek pads, though riders should note the close, race-orientated fit of the X-SPR PRO. A CamelBak-compatible hydration system port is also prepared, keeping energy levels sustained on longer stints.
Visor System
The CWR-F2R visor delivers a wider vertical field of view than its predecessor, critical when scanning apexes and checking mirrors at high speed. The dual-locking mechanism keeps the visor sealed against wind pressure and buffeting at any velocity. Tear-off posts are integrated for circuit use, and the supplied Pinlock EVO insert eliminates fogging in cold or damp conditions at the start of a session. Optional tinted, mirrored and photochromic visors are available separately through Inter-Pace.

Fitment and Compatibility
The Shoei X-SPR PRO is a universal full-face helmet suitable for all motorcycle disciplines. It is FIM FRHPhe-01 certified and therefore eligible for use in FIM-sanctioned circuit racing events. It is compatible with most universal Bluetooth intercom systems, though Shoei has not designated a proprietary SRL integration for the X-SPR PRO; fitment will depend on the specific system and mounting approach used. No vehicle-specific fitment restrictions apply.

“The reference every other race helmet on this page is measured against. Airflow and padding are the best we can find at any price, and the ECE-plus-FIM double is rare. It is not quiet, and 1,450 g is only average — neither matters much on a track day.”
— the Inter-Pace crewECE 22.06 and FIM FRHPhe-01 — road-legal and grid-legal.
EQRS, double-D and four shell sizes: nothing missing.
Thirteen ports, and reviewers rate the airflow best in class.
150 wind-tunnel configurations; it holds a line at speed.
1,450 g — mid-pack for a full race shell.
99 dB. Quiet for a race lid, still loud for touring.
Five cheek-pad thicknesses and padding testers call class-leading.
Four shell sizes, six helmet sizes, intermediate oval.
A pure race full-face, and it looks the part.
799 € buys the benchmark — but never the bargain.
